I bought this TV because it was on sale and there are some pluses and minuses. It is a 22 inch flatscreen TV for less than $300, so that is awesome however the picture is really not that great. I have tried changing the color settings many many times and still it doesn't quite look right. The HD channels that I get look pretty good but not the best I have seen.

This is definitely an entry-level flat-screen TV. If I could I would give it 3.5/5 stars.

I also bought this due to it being on sale. Very lightweight. It is in the bedroom & I didn't need it to be a large size. Sounds is great, picture isn't good. I will shop around alot more for a much better one for the living room. It is a learning experience to be sure.

I bought this t.v. for our bedroom. I didn't need a super high quality HD t.v. and didn't want to spend the money on it either. So, I bought this one. It fits perfectly in the bedroom. The sound is good, but could be better. It's not a common brand so my ATT Uverse remote works, but not all the functions are there (mute for example). I've not had any problems with it. I like it a lot. A sleek little t.v. and good quality for the price. Would definitely recommend to friends as a low cost t.v. solution.

This is a great little tv for the money... I have had it for almost two months & watch it everyday... It is compact & takes up little room...the picture is fine...I just love it.....

I purchased this television on sale after my two year old, analog Magnavox stopped working. This Haier television is, at best, mediocre and definitely not worth full price. Not worth more than $150 max. There isn't a tilt-stand on the set, nor in the packaging.

Pros:
Good Sound
Has AVL (the thing that keeps the volume down during commercials)
Very lightweight

Cons:
Picture quality is not great
ATSC/NTSC built-in tuner does not save channels on re-scan
Also, does not indicate broadcast signal strength (I have to use my freestanding tuner to check signal strength)

Update: I called Haier, and they confirmed that the built-in tuner does not display signal strength.

My opinion: this is an okay television, as long as you are not relying on OTA (Over The Air) broadcasts.

To start off with, I payed $130 & free shipping for this 22 inch LCD TV.
In my opinion, that's a pretty awesome deal!
I only recently received the TV, so I've only used for the past few days,
but my initial response is that I'm very pleased with it.
Video quality is quite nice for the price & the audio is also satisfactory, it's loud enough for most situations
The tuner performance is good & on par with the rest of the TVs on the market.
I also tested the computer functionality of the TV using its VGA port.
It is quite nice & usable as a second monitor, though at 720p it isn't the highest resolution, as others have mentioned.
So I wouldn't necessarily want to use it as my primary monitor.
However, again, for the price I paid, it is great TV!

It works very well except for 2 things:

-The sound quality. Once I hooked it up to external speakers, the problem was solved.

- The viewing angle is really narrow. The screen can appear very dark when viewing a dimly lit scene from any angle other than straight on. I would have bought a different TV if I had known that.

I was looking for a decent TV for my dorm room that wouldn't bankrupt me, and this TV is perfect. Good size, good video quality, and awesome audio considering so many other TVs like it seem to have problems with the audio. Would definitely recommend it for someone looking for a good TV for their dorm.

Bought for my daughter at college. It has a great picture and is nice and compact for it's size. Going to buy a second one for home.

I love this little TV! It is very light and easy to move around. The picture is nice and clear and the volume/speakers are nice a clear. We put it in the bedroom and just love it. I would reccomend this TV!
