So far, I'm thrilled with this TV. I haven't had a real TV in a year since the "digital transition." I've been waiting for the right one to come along. I was looking for a multipurpose TV and this one is really more than what I expected.

So far, I've only hooked it up at home, but I intend to use it in my bus (RV) as well. Others have complained about the sound, but I have it hooked up to my surround sound system at home and will also have it hooked up the same way in the RV. The picture is outstanding! Maybe I'm still used to seeing TV on CRT units, but the LED/LCD screen is great...viewing angles are outstanding too. I've been watching TV on my 13" laptop LCD screen for a year and this TV blows it away (as it should). I like that I don't have to sit directly in front of the TV to be able to view it.

I bought this TV at the suggestion of others who've used it in their campers. Because the power transformer is external, it will easily adapt to life in an RV. It is a 12V TV, but comes with a 120VAC (home) power cord and transformer. I didn't want to need to run a power inverter because it's a waste of energy.

Speaking of which, the Energy Star classification is just icing on the cake for me. It's certainly something I was hoping to have, nothing I really expected to find in a TV like this. Overall, so far, an outstanding product. I might start looking for a bigger model like this for permanent use at home, or the same model; I like it that well.

The picture quality on the unit seems to be ok, but the sound quality is terrible. I thought something was wrong until I saw another couple reviews that said the same thing. If you try to turn it up at all, or turn on some bass... it just distorts like crazy. I ended up connecting an aux sound source in order to tolerate it.

Pros
Good value with many features (many I would never use). Picture is clear and crisp, shows motion well.

Cons
Poor viewing angle. Picture is dark unless viewed head on. Especially poor when viewed from below (We have it on a shelf above the kitchen table).
DirecTV remote does not control TV. I tried all 4 Haier codes and tried cycling through all codes with no luck.
EDIT: per another user's comment code 10056 will work with the DirecTV remote.

For the Money it's unbeatable. 12V transformer so great for a camper or RV.

This tv is a 12 volt which it doesnt list. It runs on a transformer that has a 12 volt wire out that plugs into tv. This is main reason I went to this 22 inch tv. It doesnt say this but the 22 inch is for sure and so is the 19 inch flat screen. All you have to do is get or purchase a 12volt plug with this 12 volt plug on it and plug it into your 12 volt outlet in your trailer. I had one from a car cord for a car vibrater but purchased a generic 12 volt tv plug online and they both work great. Even though it doesnt say it is a 12volt rv tv, it really is and alot cheaper than the ones they sell as 12 volt rv tvs.

Great picture quality. LED technology is definitely the way to go. Great connection cluster on the back of the set. The power cord is a bit shorter that i would like, but works out with a short extension.

The sound on this set starts to distort once you go more than halfway up.
Turned down the bass setting and it helped, but still not like a Samsung or Sony for sound.

Great for a small bedroom or office where volume is not an issue. Would not recommend in a Kitchen or large room, unless you have a sound system connected to it. And a drawback to that would be the lack of being able to set the output volume to 'variable' vs. 'fixed'.

Otherwise the picture is great, setup was easy.

Very nice small TV. White looks great. I use it for bedroom and also as a PC monitor. Picture quality is not bad and with some adjustment, was able to make peoples face not so orange/red. Also many reviews note the terrible sound quality. I also got distortion when you try to use higher volume. I turned off the SRS TS XT and now no distortion. Great buy.

Bought it for an RV TV, works great, weighs practically nothing and has a good picture. I know some people have complained about the sound but I don't care since I have surround in my TT. WAY less expensive then 12v TV's....hint... Just find the right adapter for any 12 volt plug that accepts them and.... BAM! you are golden.....

I fixed the sound problem with some cheap USB powered computer speakers. Turned off the internal speaker and it works well.

I deliberately chose Haier because their LED LCD TVs have a 12V power supply. Why? Because I installed it in a limousine. It's been installed for about 6 months now and has performed flawlessly from frigid temperatures to oven-like temperatures. The picture is crisp and clear. It uses very little power - can be wired easily into any RV or trailer (or limousine) 12V system. Everyone who sees it comments that it has a better picture than the TV in their own living room!

I can't comment on the sound since I don't use the TV's speakers(I don't feed any audio to it at all, actually).
