I have never heard of Haier, but I thought it was worth a try.
Overall, I have to say that it has quality and I really like the picture. I was disappointed in the fact that it does not tilt 30 degrees as it states. Eventhough it does not tilt, the picture quality is very good. I have it on a five shelf dresser and the picture quality is very good when laying on the bed. DVD player started freezing after 7 months
After approximately 7 months of light use of the DVD player in this TV/DVD combo, frames of some DVDs would "freeze". Initially, I thought a few DVDs were defective, but as it happened more and more frequently, I suspected the TV/DVD player. When I played the DVDs in another machine, they played fine. Overall, I have to say that it has quality and I really like the picture. I was disappointed in the fact that it does not tilt 30 degrees as it states. The setup was really easy and the picture of the DVD and sound is really good. I feel that the overall package was a very good value based on what I have experienced so far. If anything changes in my opinion, I will certainly let you know.

This is the 2nd Haier tv I've bought. They are both exactly the same except for the size. I have a 19 inch for the bedroom and my latest purchase is this 26 inch for the living room. They both are dvd combination. The only negative thing I can think of is that I thought the 26 inch would have a swivel base as I have to turn it to insert the dvd as it is in a entertainment center. Without the swivel base, I have to turn the tv at an angle for the dvd to insert and take out, but it's no biggie as the tv is so light weight. The picture and sound are excellent and you can't beat the price. It also is very stylish, more than some other tv's I've seen, costing a lot more. I would recommend a Haier tv to anyone.

DONT' DO IT !!!,

At whatever point the on/off switch fails, and it will, the Haier website recommends you just poke into a certain slot with a toothpick. Seriously?!
The machine was very easy to use, and certainly convenient. The picture quality was very good. The DVD playback was a little fussy, but generally OK. But that fatal issue with the power switch was inexcusable. And it failed within a month of the warrantly expiration. |
