With its 1-2/3-cubic-foot capacity, this compact-size refrigerator/freezer works great for an office or dorm room. The unit provides a full-width slide-out wire shelf, a full-width and a half-width door-storage shelf, and a half-width freezer compartment with an ice-cube tray. Its adjustable thermostat can be controlled by the rotary temperature-control dial mounted on the back of the unit, which offers seven settings plus "off". The refrigerator will automatically maintain the temperature level selected. The appliance comes with a recessed door handle that makes the unit flat and space saving in the front, while its coil back works as a condensor to release heat trapped inside the refrigerator. Even more, its reversible door can be set up to open from either the left or the right side, while two front leveling legs make it easy to stabilize the unit even if it sits on an uneven surface. Other highlights include a manual defrost system that helps save on energy costs, a convenient defrost drain, and a quick-clean drip tray. The UL-approved refrigerator/freezer measures 18-5/8 by 17-1/2 by 19-5/8 inches and carries a one-year parts-and-labor warranty with a five-year warranty on the compressor.

The refrigerator works very well. As per the instructions make sure to wait 24 hours before turning it on. It arrived without damage and keeps the temperature just fine. Noise level is acceptable (nothing amazing, but its not bad either).

The packaging is in fact attrocious. There is literally no foam padding of any kind. Amazon packs its books better than Haier packs its fridge. Only order if you have Amazon Prime - upgrade it to overnight shipping ($3.99) and your order is unlikely to arrive with any damage. The less time in shipping, the less likely you are to see damage.

Other than that, this is a great mini-fridge especially given the price.

When my small refrigerator arrived FROM AMAZON DIRECT it was in bad shape. I could tell it was brand new by the smell and some packaging but the box it was in was terribly damaged. Oddly, the box was sliced open around the entire bottom (like maybe it was inspected?) and then strapped together with merely 2 plastic straps for packing expediency. Then when I cut the straps to lift off the box the door of the frig had a gouge/dent in it and paint pealed off there so it may likely rust. I don't know if Amazon or the shipping company are to blame. SO aesthetically, it isn't pretty but it does seem to be functioning ok so far. No, I'm not going through the hassle to send it back... I have more important things to do with my time. Disappointed Chris

This refrigerator arrived in the poorest package I have ever seen for a product of ths type. The packaging had virtually disintegrated. The box was very poorly made and did not properly protect the product. There was damage that clearly was not the fault of the freight company. The result was the product was scratched and dented. To return it I would have had to find a box and completely repackage it so it wasn't worth the trouble.
The refrigerator works well enough.
I would not buy this product again due to the poor packaging.
