Not everyone needs, nor wants, an expensive flat panel HDTV for their bedroom or kitchen. Amazon is the last place I could find anyone selling an affordable, decent CRT television and Haier was the only brand I could find that is still supporting those of us who aren't made of money.

The television itself is packed with features -- the built-in tuner that can pick up HDTV signals (though you only get an analog picture!) is fantastic. Plus the fact it has a variety of features such as channel favorites, sleep timer, picture presets for different lighting and both S-video and component hookups (in additional to coax) make this television just about everything that anyone could want and more!

So if you are like us and don't want some $500 flat panel just to watch the local news and late shows on in the bedroom give this Haier a try -- you will not be dissapointed in the quality or the price!

This tv is great, very good picture,good sound quality and easy to set up. I am very happy with my purchase.

I was surprised to find a 20" standard digital television for this price. The picture is good and it has plenty of inputs for peripheral equipment. The picture looks a little strange hooked up to a 1080i HD satellite receiver as a second TV for viewing on the patio but I'm not going to complain for the price. The SD tuner has a little trouble pulling in some of the weaker stations and is slow to change channels (as if anyone watches anything off air except the local news anymore) but again the price makes it alright. This TV doesn't come close to touching my Toshiba 65" HDTV but I would recommend it for peripheral viewing areas or the kid's rooms.

We don't have cable or satellite, so I decided rather than buying digital converter boxes for all of our tvs I'd try buying a new digital tv. Based on other reviews it seemed like a safe bet. The picture quality is very good, and the features are more than ample for a secondary tv.

My Mom was replacing a 13" TV that she had bought in 1984 for over
$300 for her kitchen. She wanted a tube TV & wanted it to be digital.
My brother & I looked on the internet & both came up with this set.
Trying different antenna's after the third try she is very satisfied
with the Haier TV at half the price she paid for the old TV.

Bought this for the gamer in our family. Good size, picture and features. The price and free shipping were the factors that tipped the scale. It was delivered in record time. For families who have a limited budget this is definitely a great deal. All reviews were consided when shopping. We are very pleased with our purchase. Got to love amazon.com.

Haier HTR20 20" CRT TV I wanted an inexpensive DTV TV so I would be ready for the change over. This filled the bill. I was disappointed to find it came without an antenna, as I would have thought that standard. Otherwise, I believe it is a good choice. The color is not as good as I would hope for at times, but the picture is clear.

This is really a great little, TV. For the price, you can't beat it. The color is great and it picks up all my local DTV channels with no problem.

The manufacturer obviously did not inspect this product or the obvious defects would have been caught. The televison had a crack and a dent on it, and a green halo at the bottom and a blue halo on the left side of the picture. Now, I will have to pay $35 to return it to Amazon.com. Someone wasn't looking out for me (the customer). Lesson learned: buy electronics from a local store.
