Multiple HD inputs

HDMI inputs give you access to incredibly clear, all-digital video and multi-channel audio via a simple, one-cable connection. Devices connected through HDMI give out the highest quality format available, achieving the best possible quality from that device. Having to deal with just one cable cleans up and simplifies the entire installation process, while greatly reducing cable clutter. The 2 HDMI connections in this HDTV make setting up a home entertainment center easy and hassle free by giving you the ability to connect two different high definition audio and video devices (like Blu-ray players, game systems, cable boxes, and more) at the same time. This television also comes with one composite input for compatibility with older devices that do not use HDMI.

3D Digital Comb Filter

A 3D digital comb filter maintains the integrity of the signal by separating brightness and color information to eliminate interference on screen. It produces a crisp, sharp image, and ensures the best possible picture for your HD viewing.

Ultra Thin Frame
Auto Volume Leveler

Volume fluctuations when changing the channel or when the program you are watching cuts to a commercial might seem like an inevitable fact of life. Haier's Auto Volume Leveler can eliminate these annoying volume fluctuations, providing you with a better overall viewing experience. Simply set the volume to your preferred listening level and let the AVL automatically adjust the sound level.

PC Input

Now you can easily connect your PC directly to your TV to watch slideshows, your favorite websites, or even to stream TV shows and movies through your computer to play on your television screen. It's the ultimate way to share computer features with your friends and family on the big screen.

PC Input
USB input for music and photo

This LCD HDTV has the ability to play MP3 files and display JPEG images. Enjoy music through your TV speakers, or display photo albums onscreen simply by connecting a USB drive.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
We wanted a second TV that we could put in the playroom for our kids who are getting older who want to watch educational TV or mommy who wants to watch Downton Abbey at the same time daddy wants to watch sports. Because we know who gets the main TV in that case.

Therefore, we weren't looking for something expensive or gigantic. And happily, this TV is just right for us.

Overall, this is a solid TV and great value for the money. It's doesn't have all latest features but it does all the obvious things you want from a TV well.
The picture quality is sharp and the viewing angle is fairly good - you can watch it from off to the left or right without it darkening badly.

Good picture quality and size
Can view pictures on a USB drive
Nice clean all-black finish, looks good
Menus are easy to navigate and straightforward - too often these are really complicated!
Has VGA and 3.5mm input so can hook up to a PC fairly easily

Base isn't adjustable
720P max resolution. If you have a Blu Ray drive or something higher resolution it will max at 720P.
Headphone audio out in an awkward spot on the back.

Inputs and outputs:

3.5mm audio in
Headphone audio out

Just from a "how does it look" perspective - it looks great. And my costume dramas look marvelous!

An extra note - measures 31" wide and 23" tall (with the base screwed on).

This TV's picture just dies about 10 months after buying it. Thankfully, it was still under warranty-- but trying to get warranty work done was absolutely painful.

First I was to take the TV for a futile 115 mile round trip to the repair shop (they have one in Southern California- Escondido) which was closed during business hours. After complaining, I was told they would come down to get it. 2 weeks later I was told that they had cancelled our work order and we would have to start again- which I did. i ordered an in- house repair.

2 weeks after that and several excuses why they had not come, we were informed that we would need to take the TV to the office- they could not come down to get it. No way was I taking another 115 mile trip to a phantom shop to get work done and lose another half day of work!

I called Haier who said that they would send me a letter to sign that enables me to effectively return the TV- which was just sending a sticker from the back of the TV and signing an affidavit saying that I would dispose of the TV.

I did what they asked and 2 weeks later found out that I sent the wrong sticker-- They wanted me to send another one. I called and argued for them to send my TV first, because they had lied to me all along and I did not trust them. They agreed to do that as long as I promised to send in the label on the back.

Almost 2 weeks later and still no TV, I call and am informed that they will NOT be sending me the TV until they receive the sticker. I argue again over a couple days and phone calls.

By this time, My warranty has almost run out-- and they agree to send me a check for the amount of the TV- because they no longer had these TV's in stock.

2 weeks... still waiting for my check...

Got this television on Black Friday. I was very excited to get it for the low price and figured that for the price even an average experience would be OK. Hooked the TV up and was pleasantly surprised by the picture. It looked great. Unfortunately this only lasted about 4 hours. With no warning the picture went bad, becoming severely pixelated with swirls of green and pink making it virtually unwatchable. I tried to reset the TV back to factory condition to no avail. I tried it with different sources, cable box, computer, dvd player, Roku, etc... no dice... same bad picture. Based on the other reviews here I must have received a lemon. Unfortunately, I must return it.

I was lucky enough to get this TV on the lightning deal, so the price was phenomenal. Ordered on a Friday and it arrived on Monday, amazing. I did not even 'need' this TV, but I figured if I got it for the lightning deal price I could use it. I am actually using this to replace a 42" non HDTV in a guest bedroom, this fits the bill, it is an appropriate size for a spare bedroom, the 42" was to big. The room feels bigger now.

Overall Impression:

TV came well packed and was very light. My only experience to date with flat screens were older much larger models, these always required at least two people to move, I was able to move this by myself, as well as unpack it by myself with ease.

There is basically zero documentation, but it was not necessary. After hooking up the proper power and input cords I turned it on and was welcomed with a wizard program to walk me through the installation. In my case it was a terrestrial antenna and a Roku (HDMI). As mentioned earlier all my other TV's were older, but regardless, this Haier was able to get more over the air stations then I could get with the other three. This TV was located on my upper floor so this may have contributed to it.

This is also my first LCD panel, all the others were plasma which I swore by, but I am now convinced that LCD is as good. The viewing angle and deep blacks are all there. Color is great with only a few tweaks. There is a bit of motion blur, but that may just be me over analyzing it. I will monitor it more.

HDTV stations and programs look awesome, standard def looks poor, this is par for any HDTV these days in my opinion. As this is only a 32" panel 720p is more than enough unless you want to use it in PC mode for 1080p.
