Got this for my daughters dorm room-her food seems to disappear from the community freezer... It is a sharp looking unit, quiet enough to have next to your bed. It freezes super fast in the upper compartment. The lower compartment works great for ice cream you don't want rock hard. I think this will be a good freezer size to give years of use beyond college. Shipping was no problem once we coordinated our schedule with the local truckers, which Amazon put us contact with directly.

Perfect size, love the two compartments! I needed a freezer for some bulk items that don't fit in my kitchen freezer. The two compartments are perfect especially because the stuff at the bottom of the upper compartment doesn't get lost. I had absolutely NO problem with delivery! I read about a customer's disappointment with delivery scheduling. My freezer made it to my apartment in NYC even with the transit strike and the delivery service people were very nice and helpful. The delivery wasn't cheap but I paid for the convenience.

I am very happy with this freezer..it is exactly what I needed for the space I had and for the amount of food I needed to keep. I like the options: fast freeze new items, temp. range avail., and the deep basket. It is very quiet and easy to access the food.

A nice little freezer which takes up very little space.2 drawers make it very convenient.My daughter is on a special casein,gluten free diet and I was running out of room in my small side by side frig that I hate anyway.Hopefully by having room for extra diet -allowed goodies for my daughter, it will help her comply w/her diet and be more willing to stay on it.Also freezer got very good reviews which is something I definitely look at.

Just to let everyone know, this is a great freezer and I have had mine for years but the drawer at the bottom gets stuck closed with ice above it as that is where the coils are. When you defrost it, make sure you open the drawer and see if the ice above the drawer is melted too or eventually you will never get the drawer open. I use the drawer for things like bread and butter so that I open it all the time now. When it starts to stick, I defrost whether the top needs it or not.

I had this freezer for about three years and it still keeps my food ice cold. The bottom compartment is definitely a cool feature of the freezer. I would give this product five stars, but occasionally I have difficulty opening the bottom drawer.

I love this chest freezer! Not only does it hold alot of food, it has a drawer on the bottom so you do not have to dig deep for food packed in the top part of the freezer, make sure you set the highest setting for the bottom part of the freezer so it will freeze, or you can use whatever setting you prefer if you are using the bottom part for keeping food fresh for a few days that you plan to use for meals that week, but do some testing yourself with the bottom part of the freezer to see what suits you and your family. The inside of the top part of the freezer has a convienient basket that can hold smaller items, I use mine for keeping bacon, sausage, and frozen herbs.
This freezer is the perfect size for a small family or empty-nesters like my husband and myself. It's size is perfect for limited space too!

Got it for even less due to a special on kitchens and housewares. Free delivery directly to my garage. Don't know why I even bother going to Best Buys to comparison shop.

Anyway, this freezer is wonderful. The bottom pull-out drawer is perfect, as it's not as cold as the upper compartment (about 15F higher, which is fine, as you want the deep freeze at around 0-10F), so you can keep ice cream at a good temp. Also allows you to keep things you're likely to use often (boxes of multiple items like mini pizzas where you'll take one and put the rest back) easily accessible, and prevents you from opening the deep freeze as much). Of course, it's great for organizing too, since the stuff at the bottom of a regular freezer this deep gets buried pretty fast.

After having it a few months, I still love it. Just a note: the lower freezer drawer is about 15-20 degrees warmer than the main compartment. This isn't so bad if you keep the main part below zero (as you probably should to store foods for a long time), but is a little warm if you don't. Ice cream will get pretty soft at 20 degrees, depending on the total fat content, so a thermometer and a little adjusting might be in order (if you get the bottom freezer temp to average around 15 or so, you can have ice cream with a nice consistency for serving, instead of the rock-hard stuff that'll come out of the upper compartment).

Still giving it five stars.

This freezer is compact and very efficient. A must have!

The top portion of the freezer works great. The bottom drawer portion sounded great - no more digging to see what's at the bottom. The reality is that the bottom drawer is only useful as overflow from my refrigerator. I don't put anything in that part that I'm not willing to store at regular refrigerator temperatures. It's a disappoinment.
