5.0 out of 5 stars Best microwave oven under $30
Pros:

1. Runs quiet and smoothly without any problem.
2. The removable glass turntable has better quality than the DAEWOO microwave we bough 16 months ago.
3. Unbeatable price.
4. More Powerful than comparable 700W microwaves

Cons:

1. No digital display.
2. No pre-programmed cooking menus.

Conclusion;

Good quality with unbeatable price...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for the $$... You get what you pay for
I don't udnerstand what the other reviewer was complaining about. This is a great functional microwave. For $30 shipped, no complaints. No digital input buttons for time, but a dial instead, but no big deal. Rotating dish, power level, all you need is there.

My only complaint is that it doesn't light up when you open the door, only when it's actually cooking does...

No need to say at $30, this is the best microwave I have ever used. It's good quality, durable, and good looking. I had bought a GE at $60,but that one only last 1 year because of power failure, just after its warranty expired, then I tried a cheaper one,a $30 Sunbeam, that one is something. It sounded like an old truck driving on uneven roads, and the turning plate did not work well too. My wife complianed a lot for the scaring sound. Then finally we found a good one at just $30. We also have a Haier Air conditioner, and it works much better then the USA brand, quiet and smooth, a little bit noisy comparing with Nathional or Sharp though.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice price, nice appliance, June 3, 2004

Can you beat the price? And the style is pretty good, even with its old fashioned dial for a timer and its small size. We are not really 'microwave people' but we gave in when we needed to heat baby bottles, and this one has fit into the kitchen nicely. Recommended.

2.0 out of 5 stars Stopped Working After 2 months, September 23, 2004
This review is from: Haier MWG7036RW 0.6-Cubic-Foot, 700-Watt Microwave (Kitchen)
Was quite noisy initially. Then one day it stopped all noise and started working quietly, so so quietly that I felt something fishy. Then on the 3rd day of 'quiet' operation it stopped all together !

Not recommended. But if you want want a temporary solution for a cheap price, go for this.

Found it to be compact, sturdy and simple to operate. I also liked that it rotates. You can not go wrong at this price!

i've recived mine a couple days ago.

pros:
1. it works, it's not ugly. seems nicely constructed (will talk about this later)
2. unbeatable price. the thing is heavy. shipping alone should be more.
3. nothing fancy, just plain old style microwave that works.

cons:
1. nothing fancy, no digital displays, no pre-programmed 'routines'.
2. the packaging could be better. i mean, amazon shipped it in Haier's own box. I can even see the last postal sign as it was shipped from Haier USA at NJ to amazon's KY center. But the foams are THIN and you can hear the sound of your touching the metal base by just tapping the box from outside. I was a bit worried that it might be broken in the box because of the long trip in such thin packaging. Turns out everything is fine. It survived!

5.0 out of 5 stars Eye Catching and went BOOM**CRASH**BANG**AND BLEW UP!!, February 15, 2005

This review is from: Haier MWG7036RW 0.6-Cubic-Foot, 700-Watt Microwave (Kitchen)
I spent about 3 weeks shopping for a microwave oven and ran acrossed this Haier for $30.00. The store I purchased it at also had another Haier 1.0 cubic feet and 1,000 power with all the bells and whisles for only $50.00 which I almost purchased. Afer really thinking about my needs and amount of space I had to store a microwave I went with the $30.00 model with the cool oval window. Now my needs are simple all I do is heat up stuff and maybe now and the defrost. If you are the type of person that uses a micrwave alot and needs something larger you may want to upgrade as this microwave is for someone who has simple needs and wants to add a eye catching item to thier space.....great for small kitchens as I have! As far as everything else it works great but takes a little time to get used to the dial after haveing a digital for many years. Also my old digtal also had a clock and this cute model doesn't! All in all we are happy and my husband gets a good laugh as he says it reminds him of a washing machine. Sears offers a model alot like to but cost much more money! Happy Microwave Hunting!

*****UPDATE!!!!!!!!!! It started makeing funny sounds and blew up I don't think it even made it 10 months DON'T BUY THIS MICROWAVE!!******

This review is from: Haier MWG7036RW 0.6-Cubic-Foot, 700-Watt Microwave (Kitchen)
We had this crappy microwave less than a month before it BLEW UP!! Great deal, but like they say, you get what you pay for. . .

You may want to check up on your grandmother occasionally to make sure that piece of s*** didn't burn her house down! Which is a real possibility with those things.
