Fine Playing, Poor Sound,
By Keith Otis Edwards "Keith Otis Edwards" (Dearbron, MI United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Hail Sousa! (Audio CD)
Considering that the Eastman Wind Ensemble was recording its flawless albums during this time, it's a severe disappointment that the sound of this CD is so poor. There's plenty of tape hiss, and it sounds like it was recorded in a clothes closet.

Hail Sousa,
This review is from: Hail Sousa! (Audio CD)
I first bought this as an LP in 1965.The quality as in the original is excellent .The University band brings its own uniquesound and interpretation to some of the most familiar marches.I have all of these marches on other CDs ,all of them several times but it adds an interesting addition to my collection. As was the case with the 1965 original ,the captions of ''The Pride of the Wolverines'' and ''The Gridiron Club'' are reversed on the jacket. In 40 years this could perhaps have been corrected
