I used this product twice with the knowledge and confirmation that one substance was used frequently over a long period of time. The point of the second test was to satisfy myself that I had taken enough of a hair sample. I was trying to ascertain whether any other substances in addition to the undisputed substance was used. Both tests came back totally negative. Hairconfirm customer service ignored our concerns. Parents are being lulled into a false sense of security and paying dearly for it. I would give a zero rating but your system is set up for a minimum 1 star.

Products like this are good not only for testing when there is a problem and you are suspecting a possible drug abuse, but probably more as a drug prevention tool at home. I really believe that.

In my line of business -selling drug testing products & services to employers and individuals- unfortunately I come across with lot of parents with drug problems at home. Most of them want to do something because they know or pretty sure there is something going on.

Recently for most of those family teenage drug abuse situations I recommend them HairConfirm (I have known the product few months now) over some of the other drug testing kits available in the market. This test is not only confidential (no need to enter personal information, sample is tracked by a unique specimen id number), but fast (express version literally in couple days, this regular within a few more) and accurate but also the detection period of this test is a lot longer (90 days or more) than urine or oral fluid drug testing.

With hair testing cheating is not possible (Heard about shampoos, cleaning stuff but i think they are more of marketing gimmicks). With urine and saliva instant test kits there is also the problem of not being sure if there is a positive (since depending on the test there could be small possibility of false positives), and to be 100% sure (and as a parent you need to be to take action unless your child confess afterwards) you need to get either the collected sample confirmed in a laboratory (could be a hassle) or need to send your kid to a nearby laboratory for retesting (and that is not really confidential, fast or easy) - anybody that has done that would agree with me- .

One unique feature of this product (we have over 100 or so drugs of abuse test and services we market in our organization), it gives a very good indication about how much the donor actually used drugs in the given period (like recreational, heavy user etc...). That is a great feature that will let the parent now if the abuse is at alarming level or not.

One thing to keep in mind, if you are suspecting from a single time recent use -anything less than 5-6 days- you either wait to take sample for using HairConfirm or do urine or saliva drug testing. If you are suspecting from -one time- very recent use (1-2 days) saliva drug testing is the better method (even though I am not sure about accuracy of most saliva test kits for marijuana) , if you are suspecting from a single 2-6 days or marijuana I would try a urine drug test. But again it is probably a still good idea to just do a follow up hair test after 7 days (it takes 5-7 days for hair to grow outside of scalp to be cut for sample).

This is not only a great product but also a great company deal with.

I have a 16 year old son that recently been acting a little suspicious. I really did not like the people he was hanging around from his team. When I was looking for ways to be proactive and make sure that he does not start using drugs (since had been a problem in the family before) I wanted to start testing him after I read a "Parents Guide to Drug Testing" whitepaper I downloaded from an online source.

Just putting the product on the kitchen table and having a long talk with him helped a lot. We discussed things that we would have otherwise. HairConfirm was more than a drug testing product but a way to open communication with him on drug abuse subject. He was first defensive and did not want to be tested, but after the talk he was ok with being tested every three months. I took the steroid testing in athletics approach. Results (very fortunately) have been negative so far but now at least my mind is at comfort. I have used the HairConfirm twice so far. Each time everything was smooth. Quick results (literally under 4 days with this standard version) available online. One time I had questions about the process and reading results. A gentleman named Paul answered all my questions. He was very knowledgeable and took time to answer all my questions. I felt very comfortable dealing with this company.

I recommend this product to all parents that want to be proactive.

This is a great product for parents and the fight against drug use. I bought this test and had it sitting on the kitchen table when my son came home from a party. I asked him to read the packaging and said I would be back in a few minutes. Before we even tested him, he admitted to using pot and ecstasy. The results came back positive for both of these drugs. Not only is this test accurate but it is a deterant too!!!

While awaiting the test results, both kids admitted to drug use. The tests came back negative.

This product was so helpful. My child's father was showing signs of drug abuse but kept denying it. I had so much evidence to the contrary but no actual proof. It was not until we got the results back and it came back positive for cocaine (as I suspected). But not only does it provide positive or negative it also gives levels so the person can't claim they only did it once. Now I have what I need to demand he do something about his addiction or me and my child will be leaving him. Additionally he agreed to do this drug test once a month so I can be assured there are no drugs in his system. Thank you hair confirm!

I had to take the test to use in a court case and the results were accurate and fast. The only thing that would have been more helpful in my situation is using more identifying information of mine on the results form. The results are only identified by a generic test # and have no personal identifying information about the person tested.

I know this works. I have a very close friend that uses this hair drug testing kit as a drug deterrent for her teenage son (that admitted experiencing marijuana).

Since they started , the boy is clean and he is afraid of even trying a little bit. They test him every 3 months, so he can not do it still (and he is in College away from home). No cheating , or passing or drug detox, remedy possible with this hair test.

In summary, highly recommend it.

I was amazed to learn that there are cut off levels with drug tests. I naively thought that you get tested for a drug and if the result is over zero it's positive, if the result is less than zero then it's negative. To my surprise there are cut off levels. How are you to know this if this is your first experience with a drug test? If you spend an additional $69.99 then they will check at a lower cut off level - but it's still not zero! So what good is the test?

It was a waste of time and money as it didn't tell me what I needed to know. I did contact their customer service department and was told that they were sorry to hear that my experience was a waste of money and that I should use another lab if I found their test to be useless. I also filled out their customer satisfaction survey but received no response.

The subject of this test had come home reeking of pot on the night we found a bag of something much worse in his laundry. He admitted the pot use, but insisted that the other drug was not his (as if that excuse had not been used before). We did a pee test that night which detected the pot, but not the other drug.

So two days later we submitted his hair sample using the Hair Confirm product with the intention of getting a better picture of his drug use over the last several weeks.

The results came back NEGATIVE on all tests. It didn't even pick up the pot which we already knew about.

My wife and I feel that we threw away $50 on a product that promises help for desperate parents, but instead just adds insult to injury during a very stressful, horrible time for parents.
