I've been using this KMS Hair Paste for over 8 years (and at least four bottle redesigns). Last year when the company quietly became KMS California, the ingredients for their #1 hair paste mysteriously changed. The paste is now creamier, provides less texture, doesn't hold as well, becomes oily if there is even slight humidity, is $4-6 dollars more than it used to be, AND you get less product. The original formula was MUCH, MUCH better. Also, one last horrible detail: the scent of the paste has been changed to a more potent "fruit cocktail" scent which flies, bees, and general insects LOVE, so look out when you're outdoors!!! Try Redken Men's Work Hard Power Paste (terrific and cheaper), Redken's Rough Paste (women's version) or Joico's I-C-E Molder.

My hair is thin and straight and I have used everything from the loreal studio/fructis/american crew fiber/ and paul mitchell tea trea shaping cream but I think the KMS hairplay is definitely my favorite. First of all, it smells amazing, and second of all it'll last all day without getting flaky like gel, or making your hair hard. Usually to get a nice dry messy textured look I will towel dry then blow dry my hair, and then apply the product and it looks great. Try it - in stores it costs $20-25, for $13 you should stock up.

I like this hari gel alot....it does keep my hair where I want it, but it leaves a trail evidencing that there is hair product in my hair(you know the hard, almost helmet-looking 'look'), so I think something that is a LITTLE better than this is Aquage Transforming Paste, albeit it DOES leave the same look that there is DEFINITELY hair product in my 'hair'(I want that natural look, no-gel-present look), but all in all this product is pretty decent....

Very happy I don't have to drive to the mall to buy this stuff anymore. Works great, use a little and lasts all day. Not greasy, sticky, or shiny just helps give my boring straight hair a little style. A+ stuff!

I've been using this molding paste for years, and it does a very excellent job. It only takes a pea sized amount to get perfect results! I'm also very happy with the cost, and will be back again once I run out.

I always used traditional every day hair gel. After purchasing a terrible smelling hair gel, I decided to try something new for my hair. I stumbled upon KMS Hairplay Paste and thought I would give it a go. I read some good reviews about it and apparently it is used by Taylor Lautner who has very similar hair to me. I gave it a try and it worked a treat. It looks and feels like sunscreen and has a very strong 'fruit cocktail' scent at first. It makes shaping and re-shaping hairstyles very easy and doesn't dry hard like gel. I'm now able to style my hair as though I just walked out of a salon. I'll never go back to gel. Thanks KMS.

I've been using KMS paste for 14 years. It works very well with my hair. I would recommend this for people that do not have thick hair. It keeps my hair in whatever direction that is needed. It's more of a light-medium hold though. What I like best about it is the smell (which I get compliments on) and that you can run your hands through your hair and it doesn't feel like you have gel or hairspray in your hair. I get best results when drying my hair completely and then applying a small amount throughout my hair. If you put it in while your hair is damp, it will not hold your hair well. I've turned multiple friends onto this product. Good price on Amazon.

My hair is wavy to curly and it's hard to find products for it. This product is great to use after I've styled my hair. I just scrunch it into my curls. It helps the curls set and stay in place. It makes my hair look more piecy (which I like) and adds texture. It doesn't weigh my hair down or make it stiff.

This paste has a really nice hold and pliability, lasts at least 10 hours, and adds little or no shine. It works much better on dry hair. The smell is pleasantly natural and quite mellow. Get the 3.4 oz size if you want to air travel with it.

I have been using this stuff for years. Works best when I first get my hair cut. But when it gets longer, I switch to something else. Don't know why, just do.
