AFFORDABLE ALTERNATIVE,

This review is from: Hair growth device based on infrared technology
I was skeptical at first being it was a little too pricey for my taste, but glad I took a chance because it works for him along with his hair vitamins & nioxin system all which I get from amazon. So far it's been 3 mo. & it still kicking. I decided to try this route because this is what they do at those EXPENSIVE hair replacement therapy centers for way too much $$. It seems to work, if YOU work it. Started seeing his results with thicker hair in end of first mo. & definately by the 2nd mo. He doesn't put the hair lotion in the brush which you can do, he puts it directly onto his hair & scalp then works it in with the brush

I'm 20 years old and I've been slowly losing my hair for about 5-6 years now. There are a few things that helped slow down my hair loss, which I'll mention below in the order of importance. As for the laser comb, it's the only thing that has actually reversed the hair loss process. And believe me, I wouldn't claim that my hair loss was reversed unless I was 100% sure of it. My hair is receding at my temples. There are short hairs (in the catagen phase) and some peach fuzz. The peach fuzz is usually where my hair loss was most recent, and it reduces and recedes with my hairline as I experience more hair loss (hopefully that made sense). The laser comb has thickened the peach fuzz and has helped it grow a bit longer. Hopefully I'll continue to see positive results as I continue using the comb. I've been using the laser comb every other day (around 15 minutes per session) for about a week now. I hold the laser comb on part of one of the balding areas for about 15 seconds, then move it a centimeter and repeat until I've gone through both balding areas completely. I do this twice - once while holding the laser comb horizontally and once while holding it vertically. If the way I've been using the laser comb is ill-advised, I'd appreciate it if someone would tell me. But this has been working for me so far. Things that helped slow down my hair loss: 1. Avoiding stress. I've had problems with stress, and the only thing that has helped me control it is learning about the fight or flight response. To read a helpful article on this topic, google "fight or flight response to stress" and click on the first result. The article is written by Neil F. Neimark, M.D. 2. A healthy diet. A diet rich in whole grains, fruits, berries, vegetables, nuts, fish and/or poultry is very crucial when trying to slow down hair loss. 3. Exercising. Consult a doctor or a professional if you aren't sure what type of exercise routine or program is right for you. 4. For some men, avoiding frequent masturbation or too much sex will help reduce hair loss. Too much sex or masturbation can cause a raise in DHT (dhiydrotestosterone) and result in quicker hair loss. Things like Rogaine, Proscar, Propecia, and supplements haven't helped me, but perhaps they'll help you. I am NOT a doctor and I would suggest consulting one before taking any new medications or supplements.

If you're looking for multiple lasers look elsewhere. I "think" the center light is supposed to be a laser but it's white light. The red lights are most likely LEDs. No where in the instructions does it identify any light as a laser. LEDs don't grow hair. The device felt poorly made as well. The box was written in Spanish, the instructions in poorly translated English. Do your research and make sure you're buying a device with the proper grade laser.
