I purchased this monopod because it folds up to only 10" and fits easily in my video camera bag. I take a lot of video and digital pics of my daughter when she is performing with her high school marching band. This monopod has been a great tool. It not only is adjustable from 10" to 54" but has a tripod base for table top use. It is well constructed and has multiple locking positions as it is extended. Great for sitting in the stands and filming in tight quarters. Saves a lot of arm and hand strength and ensures much steadier shots.

not only great as a regular monopod but a tripod that is light and portable... I use it in a kayak putting the two small legs up on the rim of the cockpit and then adjusting the third leg to the bottom of the boat. Works like a charm. Great price and quality product.

The Hakuba Table Pod H-MS10 - Monopod I purchased through Amazon is a terrific photography tool which packs and travels nicely. I first took it on a hike with my family. It provided the camera stability I bought it for, and provided an additional surprise as a competent walking stick. I look forward to using the short tripod funtion soon for a self portrait.
