Works great,
This review is from: Hakuba MiniPro II Lens Pen (Electronics)
The black stuff reported by the previous revewer is the actual cleaner. The pen leaves black smudges on fingers and paper but not on clear plastic or glass. The pen worked great on my binoculars and cameras.

Very portable and amazing lens cleaning pen,
This review is from: Hakuba MiniPro II Lens Pen (Electronics)
This is a great product! I have a couple larger Hakuba pens with my large and video cameras. I purchased this miniPRO II about 3 or 4 years ago. I liked it so much that I purchased them for many family and friends for Christmas. I'm sure that there were much clearer photos that year and since! It is tiny, just a few inches long, so it easily tucks in a camera bag (even the little neoprene ones) or a pocket, or it can be clipped onto the camera's cord, the bag, a shirt, really anywhere handy. The brush works great for gently removing dust and other particles, while the cloth cleaning end is amazing at removing smudges, fingerprints, and water(snow) spots from the lens without any smears, residue or damage to the lens. Don't believe the nonsense about the black marks. I have only used on the lenses and therefore never noticed, but for trial's sake, I tried what other the reviewer had said, and yes, it will leave a black mark on paper, etc., (it is not sold as a paper cleaner). My father had taught me with the first pen, to begin in the center of the lens and work in a smooth circular motion until reaching the outer edge of the lens. It works great! I'm back to buy more for the binoculars and my son's camera, and probably a few more for gifts. I've used them countless times and they still do better than I could have ever hoped. I'd recommend to anyone, and to have one with each camera, binoculars, etc. Enjoy beautiful clean/clear photos, views and more!

I wish I'd gotten one of these years ago. I've had mine for a year and a half, and I just bought one for my partner. It's amazing how well this lens pen gets rid of fingerprints. Not only is it great for camera lenses, it's also much better for cleaning glasses than wipes, which just smear grease around. I also like the compactness of this model. I highly recommend it.

I needed something to clean my lens. Read about this pen on photography-on-the.net and bought it. Does exactly what you expect. It's like erasing smudges. Just perfect.

Good thing I decided to test this on something else before my $1500 lens. It acts more like a whiteboard marker than a lens cleaner, making black smudges. It seems that the material of the brush tip has just deteriorated.I am surprised because this product gets top ratings everywhere and thats why I bought it. Perhaps the Hakuba brand is the problem, maybe lenspens sold by others would be better. I even returned it for a replacement and it was the exact same! |
