This is a great songbook filled with most of the Burt Bacharach (Music)/Hal David (Lyrics) songs with an intro by Dionne Warwick revisiting their three way partnership. Songs included are: A House Is Not a Home, Alfie, What the World Needs Now, The Look of Love, Walk on By, Make it Easy on Yourself, Anyone Who Had a Heart, Blue on Blue, You'll Never Get to Heaven, Close to You, Promises, Promises, I'll Never Fall in Love Again, Do You Know the Way to San Jose?, and many others. Also included are Hal David songs with other songs not written with Burt, including It Was Almost Like a Song. Being a huge fan of Dionne Warwick and Burt and Hal's music, and also being a singer myself, I'mm somewhat biased, but no one can argue with these classic songs. The words are important to the music, too. Hal wrote some very poetic, humorous, and meaningful words to these wonderful tunes.
