It amazes me that some big box stores are selling light fixtures that use this bulb when they don't even stock the bulb on their shelves. I believe this GU24 base is part of the energy star government program. If a light fixture doesn't have an Edison base (what we have used for 100 years), you can't put a tradition inefficient incandescent bulb in the fixture. I understand the purpose... but it makes no sense when stores like Sears Hardware do not carry the bulbs! Thanks to amazon for making it so easy to find this peculiar bulb.

The bulb works fine but it does take longer to warm up then the bulb that came with the fixture. It also has a slightly different color.

A difficult bulb to find in the Brick and Mortar world, but not on Amazon! I have 2 outdoor fixtures that I needed a GU-24 base bulb for and this fit perfectly.
