Oh so beautiful. I cried when I heard Hosmer's Grove - we had just been there hours before - Jeff Peterson and Riley Lee gave it music! My heart is so happy these two joined souls to create such amazing music. I love it when you play a CD and you believe you didn't make a purchase, but rather received a gift. It is a rare treat, and this is one of those gifts that keeps on giving. Treat yourself to a piece of Paradise.

Haleakala: Lovely slack key and bamboo flute music,

Last year we happened on a concert by this duo in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The starlit setting may have influenced our enjoyment of this performance, but this CD continues to work its magic almost a year later in chilly January. Jeff Peterson is a young and very talented slack key guitarist, who effortlessly switched between multiple tunings (hence the term "slack key") for many of the tunes. Dr. Riley Lee plays a variety of shakuhachi (Japanese bamboo flutes), which richly complement the sweet Hawaiian music. Highly recommended.
