I played bocce for the first time with some friends at a Bocce Federation court, and fell in love with the game! I decided to order a set so that I can play locally, and decided on this one. The bocce balls are a little lighter than the ones I first played with, but they are good for kids (I played with my 6 year-old nephew, and 13 year-old niece). The bag is a little flimsy. I would prefer something with more cushion and structure. Otherwise, it's a really great set!

I bought these bocce balls to take to Thanksgiving for something to do before dinner. These are a nice starter set, not too hefty, but perfect for that backyard play. It comes with a set of rules, but in a friendly game, rules are arbitrary. We had a great deal of fun out on Dad's lawn, I recommend this set for those who are looking fun and frolic rather than serious competition.

the set really seems made well. It comes with a bag for storage. Very nice! I would definately recommend this set.

We play bocce on a pea gravel beach in Maine. Despite the abusive playing conditions, the set has held up well. I wish the balls were a bit larger (107mm) and heavier (closer to regulation size and weight). The palino (jack) is equally small; it is the size of a golf ball. Despite the photo depiction, the palino is neutrally colored, so it is easy to lose sight of it in the sand. A golf ball would be just as good. Much more expensive sets would not hold up to the abuse this set does. If you have a family, get this set. If you are interested in tournament play, this set will not qualify.

Very pleased. Good price vs. quality. The balls are heavier than expected (which is good). Carrying case seems heavy enough to last for a good while too. The pillion (target ball) is indeed too small to see in moderate length lawn, but easy enough to get any larger plastic ball at wal-mart to use as needed.

This Bocce set is perfect for my uses,i.e. to have fun on the beach and on the lawn at home. At age mid 70's and a first teme bocce player I am enjoying playing with my young (very young) relatives. I can also envision plating it with older (much older) people who might find fun and therapy in tossing these lighter balls even from a chair!
I also find them very portable for those who can't lift much weight.
Not recommended for serious bocce buffs, however.

I'm so glad I got this game. We played it as a family at Thanksgiving and everybody had fun. It was wonderful weather and it was great being outside. Up to eight people can play, so there were many of involved. Grandma down to a four year old played. This game is appropriate for almost any age. It helps to have some available outside space, but you could play in just your backyard. All in all a great experience.

This is a good mid-range product. The balls are light enough for children to use and heavy enough for adults to enjoy. My only protest would be that the cue ball is so small it gets lost in the grass. I am planning on buying a regular sized one from a pool table set.

No doubt, kids love this game, but may not the product. When I received the product, I almost wanted to return it. The color of balls is not one as displayed. it is green and blue. So playing on grass, the green over green, not very comfortable, but still can see it. The little target ball is too small and not bright color, hard to find in grass. So I replace with a golf ball.

This set is a good value. Balls are heavy enough for family play and comes with a decent carrying case. Good instructions and durable pieces.
