I've been Bones' friend for several years now and while I appreciate his writing, I had not expected to be as moved by this book as I was. It took me all of 25 minutes to read the whole thing and it was time really well spent. Much of the factual information presented in the book I have encountered before, but John's presentation reinforced how doable it all is. In the end, that was the most important thing Bones gives us, that being healthy, fit, and, yes, sexy, is doable. It is achievable for everyone, without having to devote your life to that goal. Really an amazing book.

This is a fun book about a serious topic: your health. Above all, it is a practical book for the non-jock. I presume that the subtitle "How to Look Good Naked..." is the author's tongue-in-cheek way of saying "How to Have the Health and Fitness You Need to Do What You Want to Do...." If that isn't enough motivation, consider the economics: I estimate that if you can follow most of the advice given in this book, you can potentially save five thousand times the price of the print version, or more, on medical costs and disability. The "medicine" goes down easily because the book is entertaining. And it's very useable. Don't just buy it. Use it.

This book is great. I had only read about 15 pages when I realized that HEY! I am "Half-Assed" also.

The book is quite funny; but beyond that it is also a very good and practical guide for sustaining weight loss and being healthier. The author gives many references for further reading and/or viewing, which many authors prefer not to do. He is just so down to earth about things and you can tell he has been "there" (anyone who has dieted/exercised in their life will know what I refer to) like the rest of us. Mr. Rodriguez tells the reader the least needed to get the job done-both for dieting and exercise-and I guess that is what I have been looking for because now this book will always be active on my Kindle.

Extra kudos to him for relating stories of his wife.

There are moments in this book that blew my mind. From his realizations when fasting to his brilliant idea for counting, Mr. Rodriguez' book takes bold steps in a new direction. His ideas update health and working out for the fast-paced Post-Modern world, while delivering the content in a direct, accessible, comedic tone that makes his book a fun read. If successful, this health routine will be revolutionary.

John "Bones" Rodriguez is an actor, author and entrepreneur.

Born and bred in New York City, he is often recognized from his commercials, plays and TV shows.

In high school, his friends and he made a Star Trek- based home movie (remember VHS?), where he played Leonard "Bones" McCoy. At the time, he weighed maybe 90 lbs, and the nickname "Bones" has stuck ever since.
