This is a "must have" for 6FS fans and some of their strongest work. There's a manic intensity here reminiscent of Severe Exposure, but this album is more dense and interesting with plenty of lurching, non-4/4 time signatures. There are definitely some Jesus Lizard elements here, but the off-key notes on many songs (Live Legs, for instance) give this a bit of a horor soundtrack element reminiscent of the Liars. The sound is a bit overwhelming on first listen, but it really grows on you. "Bored Oracle" in particular, with the repeatedly screamed references to Yeats' "The Second Coming," is compelling for its whole 7:45 running time.
