I first heard the Lab Rats in a Pandora mix based on MC Lars. The comparison ends there. Every song on this EP is a serious flood, from tales of child neglect to a mythical encounter with the devil, dealing with core themes of hope, struggle and reconciling the past. One track is instrumental, but the others six are a tangle of intense and creative rhymes. Poetry to music might be the best description.
