This half yard ale glass is a very cool item - definitely will make you look like a serious/stylish beer lover. The stand is sturdy and well made, but the wood is not of high quality (unfamiliar Asian hardwood). The half yard glass itself is nicely made and has a nice thick lip around the mouth which should help it to survive longer without being chipped or broken. This item is made in China, but the clearance price of $11.99 makes this item a steal no matter what!

I received some of these as a gift in the past and loved them. I get tons of comments from anyone that sees them and everyone wants to try drinking from them. This time I bought them as a gift for a friend who has admired them when he came over for a visit and a beer.
Just be careful once you've had a few drinks from them that you place them back into the holder carefully as they are a little fragile.

This was a birthday gift to a beer drinker/home brewer who did not even know the history of a "yard"!! Fantastic surprise, great gift, great condition. I would recommend to anyone interested or stumped as what to buy as a fun gift.
