Product Description
Fruit Ninja
Fruit Ninja - the messiest, most satisfying fruit game ever!
Carve, Splatter, and Slash

Playing with your food might not seem like a crucial part of ninja training, but as the good folks at Halfbrick Studios will tell you--for ninjas, it's more than just a game. All ninjas hate fruit! Join the ninja clan as you slash your way through three modes of juicy gameplay. You'll soon see that Fruit Ninja is the messiest, most satisfying fruit game ever!

Enter the dojo of the wise ninja sensei to hone your deadly fruit-slaying skills. Learning to play is easy: just swipe your finger across the screen to carve gruesome, juice-splattered smears out of hordes of apples, watermelons, coconuts, and other ninja foes. Fruit Ninja is an addictive, fun, casual game that brings a splash of bright color to your Android mobile screen.

Fruit Ninja
Fruit Ninja
Turn your enemies into sorbet with the Ice Blade.
Leave Your Juicer On the Shelf: Get a Ninja Instead

To slice and dice your way into gaming bliss, simply choose one of three different game modes to begin your adventure.

Slice multiple fruit at the same time to score combos and earn bonus points, but be careful of bombs--touching one will put a swift end to your juicy adventure. Precise touchscreen controls and simple addictive gameplay ensure a fun experience for even the youngest of grasshoppers.

Fruit Ninja
Carve up juicy combos.
Good For Your Melon: Sensei's Fruit Facts

As you train to become a whirlwind of fruit destruction, your success will also please the wise ninja sensei: when he likes what he sees, he may even grant you coveted items and exciting backgrounds. Look sharp with your bright new "Mr. Sparkle" blade, or make your foes feverish with the shifting neon tones of the "Disco Blade."

In addition to all this free swag, the good sensei has much sage advice to offer you. Did you know that there are over 1,200 varieties of watermelon? Or that in some parts of the world, trained monkeys are used to harvest coconuts? Heed the teachings of your sensei as you continue on with your adventure. After all, as any scholar of war will tell you: you must know your enemy.

Fruit Ninja
Find game-changing power-ups.
Ninjas From Around the World

Gone are the days when ninjas lived a life of hushed secrecy--the modern ninja knows that in this era of social networking, their amazing deeds must be put on display for a global audience. Fruit Ninja features OpenFeint support--an add-on service integrated into the game--that lets you post scores online.

Fight your way up to the top of the leaderboards, or find your friends by importing them from Facebook. Compare scores and compete online for the ultimate bragging rights. You can even unlock achievements as you play through the game, fulfilling special objectives like "Mango Magic" or "Combo Mambo."

Four Different Game Modes
Arcade Mode

Fast-paced gameplay awaits in Arcade mode, where you'll keep your eyes peeled for three power-up bananas that can drastically improve your score. A cool, frosty "Freeze" banana slows down the action, making it easier for you to set up your combos. A blue-striped "Double Points" banana doubles all point values for a short period of time--criticals and combos included. And, not to be outdone, an orange-striped "Frenzy" banana triggers a colorful eruption of fruit and stars that pour in from both sides of the screen!

Classic

Go back to the original mode that started the Fruit Ninja craze. Precision counts here: there's no timer, but if you miss three pieces of fruit, it's game over. Learn to set up your slashes so they hit multiple targets, and avoid any bombs thrown into the mix.

Zen Mode

Enter a meditative state with this peaceful and relaxing game mode. The pressure is off here, with no bombs or power-ups to watch out for, and no penalty for missed fruit: simply try for the highest score possible in 90 seconds of gameplay.

Multiplayer Mode

Take on your fellow ninjas with Fruit Ninja's multiplayer compatibility using both local and online multiplayer services.

2.0 out of 5 stars Internet acces REQUIRED June 5, 2012
Verified Purchase
I used to love this game and so did my toddler. But then they decided to add the stupid rewards, and now the game automatically exits unless it can access the internet. Now I can't let my daughter play unless I hover over her to make sure she doesn't buy something. If I'm low on data for the month, can't play until I connect to WiFi. And don't even think about playing during a flight. Adding the rewards has killed this game for my family.

1.0 out of 5 stars Pop up ads are the reward????? March 12, 2012

I loved this game, UNTIL the update. Game is fine, but now I am continuously interrupted IN THE MIDDLE OF PLAYING with annoying ads disguised as "rewards" for reaching a certain amount of points. Reward? Really? What an insult!!!

Three different times I was at a critical point in the game, about to rack up my score, when the game paused and an annoying pop-up flashed in my face. Reminds me of a golfer about to hit the ball when someone sneaks up behind him and screams in his ear.

Geesh, even the free version is polite enough to wait until you're finished playing before it starts flashing ads in your face.

I hope this gets fixed soon. I have a feeling I'm not the only one who will sadly say goodbye to this once fun and entertaining game.

2.0 out of 5 stars Same as the free one! November 21, 2011

I loved the free version of this game so I decided to buy the full version. But this has the same features as the free one. I was very dissapointed when I found out that this game had even less blades that you could unlock. So I say stick w/ the free one.

1.0 out of 5 stars Great Game/Annoying Ads! March 13, 2012
By Alliee

I bought the ad-free version because the free version was so much fun EXCEPT for the ads. Now with the March 2012 upgrade the ad-free version has so-called rewards...points that add up for discounts on crap I do not want or need. In other words, I've PAID for ad-free and now I've got ad-filled: sometimes offers will pop up during game play and interrupt the game; the point meter pops up after every completed game; periodically a message flashes to GO NOW TO THE MARKETPLACE; and web site ads show up as well. This is almost as annoying and pervasive as the free version.

1.0 out of 5 stars Invasive Permissions, Battery Drain Issues... March 30, 2012
Verified Purchase
After playing the free version of this game for months, I picked the paid version up as the free app of the day a while back. Then, I started noticing some quirky stuff.

Why does this game REQUIRE internet access to be played? If I lose my cell connection in the boondocks or a concrete building, then I cannot play fruit ninja. Wtf?!?

Why does this PAID app need to access my camera and my contacts? There is something seriously wrong with that.

Also, after having played this game for all of 20 minutes, my Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus showed a drop of 40% battery life. Checking the battery stats showed me that it was 95% fruit ninja's fault. I also noticed that over 50% of the mobile data I had used that day was used by fruit ninja. BUYER BEWARE!

1.0 out of 5 stars SCARY NEW PERMISSIONS! DON'T BUY! DON'T UPDATE! February 29, 2012
By stilljb

Aren't games usually played by kids? I know I bought this game for mine. It is illegal to spy on them! Buyer Beware! The new upgrade wants full internet access, full access to contacts, location access, and full control over the camera to take both stills and videos. Why do you need the ability to film whomever is using the device, get their location, get at their contact info, and then upload this all to someone over the internet? These permissions easily allow the actions of a stalker, spy, or pedophile. Why do they need them?

These new permissions come with no explanation that I can find. What privacy policy do I need to monitor daily for change to find out if these are being abused? I can't seem to find one at all. I can find a policy for the fruit ninja online store at [...] and the website [...], but neither of these seem to have anything to do with the app. A Google search for Fruit Ninja Android Privacy Policy did not give me any useful results that I could find and I can't seem to find one in the game.

If I was Amazon I would review this children's game ASAP since it seems to be putting in place the ability to spy in ways that are not legal(at least when kids are involved). It's kind of ironic that my kids cannot post on Amazon because they aren't 13, but this kids game at least has the permission to illegally spy on them.

READ THOSE PERMISSION PAGES! JUST BECAUSE YOU BOUGHT THE APP DOESN'T MEAN THEY AREN'T HACKING YOU!

Maybe these permissions were just listed as a mistake, or are for valid but not obvious reasons. Maybe this game comes with a rock solid Privacy Policy that is not revokable, just really hard to find. If so then maybe I will delete or change this review. I sincerely hope that the developer replies to this and fixes these issues. If not, please beware. These permissions are way over the top and allow for scary and abusive results!
