What a great voice is that of Tony Orlando - a voice and phrasing which even influenced The Beatles; when I saw The Beatles all those years ago they opened their set with Beautiful Dreamer using the same arrangement as the version on this CD; also a really great song is here which I thought had been lost forever 'Chills.'Oh there are one or two songs in there for the ride but by and large a really great album from one of the best voices ever in pop.

Halfway to Paradise CD is a wonderful collection of the early 1960's rock and roll sound. There are some great gems included such as Halfway to Paradise, Bless You, Am I the Guy, My Baby's a Stranger and others. I have the feeling that Tony Orlando's early recordings do not get the recognition that they deserve. Here is a great collection of that early 60's sound!Charlie
