5.0 out of 5 stars Good Introduction...Not a Weasel May 24, 2008
Format:Audio CD
nice introduction anna ternheim's work. she's been around making records since 2004 but this is her first release in US. sort of a compilation. saw her at the bowery ballroom with lykke li and el perro del mar in new york. a great and long overdue perfomance in the US.

it's tough to describe where anna fits stylistically. sparse and dark, but also with great implied hope and optimism. if like early beth orton, nick cave, emilianna torrini or suzanne vega you will probably find anna's musi to your liking.

contrary to the gentleman who is trying to sully her name on this page, credit is given to fleetwood mac, and in particular - christine mcvie - on the international version of the album - and she explains her version of their song also live in concert.

blaming her for a typo by her record company calling her a weasel?

folks - download the tune "you mean nothing to me anymore" - absolutely stunning...and check out her performing it on youtube

4.0 out of 5 stars Great voice and songs from a Swedish singer! July 15, 2009
Format:Audio CD
I picked this up on a whim while on vacation last year and I was immediately intrigued. She has a sweet, unassuming voice, which reminds me of a few people, BUT she's truly her own person! The lyrics are at times more simplistic, but nothing complex is needed here. I am touched by many of these lovely songs, which range from pop, more folksy, softer alternative...how do I describe them?! They flow so well, and I think everyone can find something they can relate to in her music. I wish she would be more recognized here in American for she certainly deserves it! I recommend this album!!

It was everything I expected, loved it. I have heard this singer on the Swedish version of Wallender. Enough said.

5.0 out of 5 stars All the way to excellence! December 10, 2013
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
I purchased several of Anna Ternheim's CDs after hearing her haunting song which closes the original, Swedish series "Wallander". What a voice - of all the ones I bought, this is the best. If you're looking for mindless, loud, dance-club tunes, this is not the one for you. A very haunting album -excellent!
