About the Author

Dr.Hall holds graduate degrees in counseling, psychology, and philosophy from Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During his 42 years, Dr. Hall has worked as a counsel, therapist, professor, administrator, writer, researcher,and organizational consultant. His major interests have always focused on career choices and lifestyle adjustments. He pioneered in the development of self-report career interest / values surveys and emphasized their use as instructional tools to advance personal insight and growth, rather than tools used to "predict" one's future behavior.

I have been hoping that I will find *the* book that will lead me to a sense of well being about choosing a career path. Once again this was not it.

You can save your money by typing career inventory into any search engine and taking one of these generic career inventories online.

The book follows the typical personality types and offers only a small selection of jobs which might be suitable. Finally the rest of the small book is composed of postive but common sense commentary that most of us are fully aware of anyways.

This self inventory is exceptional! Really helped me wade through my confusion and get back on the right career track.
It was so helpful to find out what career would be best for me according to my thoughts, feelings, and goals instead of paying someone else to tell me what they thought I should do. Been there, done that and ended up in the wrong profession.For the first time I took responsibility for my life and future instead of leaving it up to someone else or chance.
