More About the Author

Jane Hall is a certified quilt teacher, judge and appraiser and has lectured and taught quiltmaking for guilds and quilt conferences in the United States and abroad for more than twenty-five years. She also teaches for Quiltuniversity.com

She has a particular interest in foundation work, exploring methods for using foundation techniques in all kinds of piecing, both traditional and innovative. Jane has co-authored six books on foundation piecing with Dixie Haywood including their new one, "Every quilter's Foundation Piecing Tool" (C&T 2009). Workshops and lectures are listed on her website, www.janehallquilts.com.

A graduate of Cornell University, Jane and her husband, Robert, live in Raleigh, NC and have six grown children and ten grandchildren.

I actually bought this book as a reference for a english class. I was writing an essay on the play "Triffles" and this book came in very handy. My professor loved the history of quilting that I cited from this book.
