This is simply an awesome CD. If you like blues guitar playing that is out of this world, then buy this disc. You will not be disappointed. Every song I believe was written by Chris and he has an amazing talent as a songwriter and singer, as well as being a highly gifted musician. His blues is inflected with a fair amount of jazz and a little rock, too. The result is a CD that is packed with songs that ALL have killer groves, interesting changes and well thought out lyrics. He also has a guitar tone that is a joy to behold! I love this CD. I was fortunate to see Chris play live, both with the Ford Blues Band and with his own band and every time he picks up a guitar I am floored by the music that he creates. An amazing talent.

I buy a lot of blues and attend blues festivals every year and I don't know how this guy has flown under my radar for all these years. I love this CD! If you have an extra 15 dollars in your budget and have not listened to Chris Cain yet, spend your money on this CD.

Chris Cain is a dynamic and soulful guitarist and singer. His lead guitar style is reminiscent of many of the older players; Albert King, B.B., T-Bone Walker, Little Milton, etc. Cain can play straight blues and jazz arrangements, but his singing style is right from the heart. He's got a deep throaty voice that makes the lyrics mean something. If you have the opportuity to see Chris Cain live, do not miss it! I saw him play the last gig of a 30-day road trip and he still played his heart out for all his fans.

I have seen Chris play live both with the Ford brothers and solo. He is a complete musician. He plays with maturity, style, intelligence, and taste. He sings BEAUTIFULLY, a deep rich baritone. His songwriting is witty and to the point. Chris is also very funny on stage, his comments in between songs crack me up. He's simply one of the best.
