Jazz pianist/composer Pamela Hines provides an abundance of subject matter in her songs. April Hall sings them all with stunning vocal interpretation. The Boston based group includes bass veteran John Lockwood and Reed Dieffenbach on drums. This is an excellent set of songs, sometimes sad, sometimes joyous, and the tunes make a commentary on the life we live today. A new album that will surely be the standards of tomorrow.
