Middle school-an alien time in an adolescent's life-comes alive in this book by Keane Manell. This young author brings you into the story with his realistic dialogue and voice. He weaves a story of life in a middle school, dealing with an "alien" substitute teacher to code-breaking that leads to an alternative dimension.
Hayden, the main character, journeys to another dimension at an historic location- the Empire State Building. Will he ever be heard from again? How will he use his powers to survive? . . . or will he?
Engaging, empowering and surprising. . . kids will surely connect with this author! We look forward to more writing from this young, new author!

Written by a very talented kid! My boys couldn't put it down, but read it right through to the end - and asked me to look for any more by Manell. The writer knows first hand what kids his age want to read - and we're ALL hoping he'll write more!
