Weather your child has issues with handwriting or not, whatever your child stuggles with in school this is a great book for them to read. My daughter can get fustrated just like Hallie in the book does when something she tries just doesn't go right. It was a good book for her to read. The character Hallie is very smart in all subjects but stuggles with her handwiting. Yet she comes to realise that there are many others who are stuggling as well, and that she just needs some practice, and it will come. Good character development in this series as well made her excited to read other's in the series to get to know more of the kids at Hopscotch School. I am sure we will end up reading them all.
