Halloween Cats, published by Cartwheel books, is written by Jean Marzollo, who writes tons of beginner reading books for kids, and illustrated by Hans Wilhelm. It's a simple rhyme illustrated beautifully about cats who dress up in various costumes for Halloween, and although it uses very simple words to make it easy for a beginning reader, they rhyme really well.When my daughter was learning to read, she loved books like this with main characters being cats, a dog, a candy-loving mouse and pumpkins, and your little one will also probably be taken by the adorable illustrations! |
