I have had this book since 1987 and have used it many times. Not only for Halloween costumes, but for our dress-up box, costumes for school plays, church costumes, and a host of wonderful outfits for kids. My only complaint is that my kids have out grown the sizes!

This book gives you easy methods to make costumes for your
children. With the basic patterns given, you are only
limited by your imagination. This book has saved me many
a time when I needed a costume for school plays as well
as for Halloween.

I stumbled across this book at my public library and after trying one of the many ideas, HAD to have it. With the high cost of commercial patterns these days, this book offers simple and economical alternatives for the novice and expert seamstress alike. It includes many "no-sew ideas" as well. The book also has a number ideas for the props that make costuming your child at Halloween so much fun. I only wish I'd found this book sooner!!!

When I was put in charge of "costume design" for my daughter's figure skating shows in the early 1990's, I could barely sew, and wasn't able to understand the directions in commercial patterns. I found this in our town library, and soon thereafter I had to buy my own copy. The patterns are easy to make and easy to follow. I have used this book over and over for figure skating costumes, halloween costumes, and school plays, even though I have become a fairly accomplished seamstress. I highly recommend it!
