About the Author
Karen Jean Matsko Hood is the author of numerous cookbooks, children s books, poetry, and more. A woman of wide interests, she, her husband, thirteen children, and foster children make their home in Spokane Valley, Washington. Ms. Hood is currently completing work on her Ph.D. in Leadership Studies at Gonzaga University.

I really enjoy this book and there are some really cute ideas that I haven't seen in other Halloween books or web sites--but the lack of photos is really disappointing--especially for a cookbook. It's nice to see what the completed recipe looks like. The lack of photos was odd, I thought--but for the price and amount of recipes and ideas--it's still a good value!

what can i say? basically this is a cookbook with all halloween recipes. i had waited about two years to get my hands on a copy, so i was really excited when amazon began to have them again...it is true that there aren't any pictures in this book, but it is completely full of original recipes, ideas, and anecdotes about halloween...i am a huge fan of halloween and believe that this is my favorite halloween cookbook..i have purchased others (including some this year) but none of the others live up to this one..i would highly recommend buying it for your own halloween party or dinner..amazon please keep making hard-to-find books available this one is awesome.

Great recipes, no pictures. None. It is so much more inviting and interesting to see what your finished product will look like. Nontheless there are a ton of different recipes I haven't seen elsewhere. This is not the recipe book for you if you are looking for kids party food.
