I got this because I knew "He quit me," a deep funk number Warren Zevon wrote, Miller sung, and wound up on the Midnight Cowboy Soundtrack in 1969. It is as fantastic as anythning you can here on any deep funk compiation.
So I was supprsied to hear that most of this is Spector-esqye pop from the early-mid 60s. There is some really nice arranging on here, and the music is as good as any Ronnette's or Sherilles album. There is some nice bossa nova as well. But I only wish Miller had done more heavy funk. She certianly had the voice. Notwithstanding, there is a lot of good music on here, so track this down if you can.

The Real Deal is called "Halloween Night", and "Halloween Night-Haunted House". ... but not the quality of the real deal. Don't be fooled, get "Halloween Night" and turn your home into a Haunted House this Halloween.
