I only recently became a fun of Roky Erickson through the documentary You're Gonna Miss Me : A Film About Roky Erickson. This recording captures Roky at what qualifies as an artistic peak. The songs are savagely performed, and the recording quality is very good, at least for the first half. The others are a little more lo-fi, but nothing that will scare away true believers. The only thing negative I can say is that it is a little difficult to take the whole thing at once due to the similarity of the songs and performance style.

Since it seems most of Roky's recordings go out of print pretty easily, I would recommend picking this up soon.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Children of the night, what music we make", November 8, 2011

This is crucial for fans of Roky! The record shipped very fast and was well packaged, as usual. The record itself is packaged in a nice, glossy gatefold with a bit of the outfits history with Roky printed inside, and some neat pictures. The recording's are from different live shows, but all well mastered. I got this after the Roky anthology (CD) and was very excited about the live versions of the songs. The version of Two-headed Dog is especially awesome. I'd recommend this to any fans of Roky with a record player.
