5.0 out of 5 stars An Adorable Book! October 9, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Is book is adorable. Sharlene Alexander has nailed it with this book, it is so creative and original. My two grandsons loved it and I know that they will be wanting to read it over and over. They already have their favorite letters! It is fun to hear them say, "I love W!" or the Dragon for "C"
The illustrations are great too and what a great way to help a child learn! In addition to the alphabet there are the games. The games were so much fun to do with them as it requires counting and watching their faces light up while finding the little green monsters was priceless.
I will definitely be looking for more books by Sharlene Alexander. She has a way of putting together a book that I can enjoy as much as my grandsons when we are together. It is nice to find something so entertaining and educational. Thank you Sharlene!

We are watching my little niece (3) and nephew (4 1/2) for the weekend, and I was looking for a fun book to read on the Kindle with them. I found this when I searched for Halloween books, and it is a great book for kiddos! The pictures are great, so bright and colorful and the text is descriptive and fits well for each illustration. It is an alphabet book,,, you know, where each letter has a little story line about it and a picture that corresponds. It is a great tool for having kids learn new words, practice their reading, practice their alphabet and make predictions (since they can guess what the page is about by looking at the picture) even before you read the text. If you are looking for a fun Halloween book to read with your kids, this is a must buy. They also really liked the "search" games at the end of the book! This is definitely a fun Halloween read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Short, Sweet, and Adorable for Young Kids! October 8, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
This book was so precious! I love incoorperating books like this into my children's early learning activities. And the fact that this one focuses the upcoming holiday of Hallow's Eve really catches their attention. We've read it together multiple times now- and I must say it is a huge hit. They are very young (1, 3, and 5) but are enjoying the new 'eBook' fad. This book definitely is a big hit in my house.

It was short and sweet- not too long which is good (because my children cannot sit through a long story to save their lives). I love the fact that I can sit down and read this in a few minutes and then move onto the next activity. My kids loved it and I like the fact that it's a great opportunity to educate them on Halloween. Hallow's Eve is a neopagan holiday that both my honey and I celebrate- but aren't quite sure how we should approach it with our children. This book is a fun way to give them an early anticipation for all of the fun things that the 31st entails. I highly recommend it for any mom of young uns' out there!

H is for Halloween by Sharlene Alexander
Illustrated very colorful children's book showing the alphabet using Halloween themed examples.
Wow the 3 pages with answers on other pages after the story are priceless! A picture with a bunch of items to find in the picture.
Good for not only Halloween themed items but for counting.
I feel like I got a prize as these are extra things.
I liked the J page for Jack O' Lantern the best.
