Halloween Memories,

This book reminded me of my own childhood Halloween memories. It was totally charming. I loved the many substories and the burgeoning love interest between Jimmy and Jill.
I highly recommend this story to adults and kids alike.

I initially picked this book up because of the cover and this time of the year. The cover sort of lead me to expect this was going to be some sort of creepy supernatural tale of horror, but instead it turned out to be a nostalgic tale of a group of small-town kids adventures one long Halloween night in the 1960's. Having grown up around that period of time and having participated in a number of similar Halloween nights myself, I found this book to be a very enjoyable read - one that I will be reading again. Reminded me a bit of another book that I read years ago - "The Golden Evenings of Summer" by Will Stanton.
