5.0 out of 5 stars Best Halo Elite Figure To Date, 5/5, Must Buy!!!
This Action Figure is great, its durable, poseable, comes with an energy sword (first in the McFarlane series) and is a hand sculpted piece of art, truly a must buy.

I have always wanted a great Halo Elite figure and no other ones including the the earlier Halo 3 Elites that were made by McFarlane compare to this. First of all this, he is the main elite (with...

3.0 out of 5 stars Flimsy
The figure is painted well but isn't made of very durable plastic. When mine arrived I opened the packaging to find that both the energy sword and the figure's jaws on the right side had been bent and could not be put back into shape.

It's difficult to position in a way that will keep it from falling over, and some of the joints are sticky while some are too...

I have always wanted a great Halo Elite figure and no other ones including the the earlier Halo 3 Elites that were made by McFarlane compare to this. First of all this, he is the main elite (with the exception of the Arbirter) he is the Fleet Master for all the Elites in the covenant! He has half of his Jaw from fighting the Flood and is overall more skilled and battler hardened than the Arbiter. Its a great figure overall and a must have for any halo fan, and frankly any collector out there.

It's difficult to position in a way that will keep it from falling over, and some of the joints are sticky while some are too loose.

Overall it's a let-down, compared to the other figures I've bought.

4.0 out of 5 stars Delicate but fun, January 27, 2010

The biggest problem is that some joints can be very stiff. The shoulders were by far the stiffest, and I had to twist VERY hard to get them to budge. Deltoid (shoulder) armor will fall off when doing this, but since they're meant to be removable it's really no big deal.
For more delicate points of articulation (e.g. the wrists), if they don't budge twist very slowly. This is one action figure that requires you to be gentle. Ankles aren't properly articulated, which limits the poseability.
Overall, I would say that the quality of McFarlane Halo figures dropped in quality for series 6, and so this gets 4 stars instead of 5.

The figure didn't exactly come in the most well padded box but it survived the trip well.

Once open it was amazingly stiff. Slowly one by one it started to move quite gracefully. The head was the last joint to be broken free but, it fell off a table at about 3 ft and the head broke off.

While together, it was enjoyable to place him in kookie positions with his sward and he made a good team mate. Just like humpty dumpty, he had a great fall; RIP soldier.

Awesome addition to my Halo 3 collection! You have to see it to appreciate the detail, and coolness of this figure, and others by McFarlane for the
Halo 3 line. Also check out the upcoming waves!!!

5 stars!

In the house less than 12 hours with a 6 1/2 year old who is not particularly hard on toys and the midsection broke apart. Investigation reveals how just cheaply made, fragile, and poorly bonded this section is. Oh, sure, dad can "fix it," which I will...but why should I have to?

Furthermore, compared to the lamest Bionicle, these figures are just gray blobs of unimaginative nothing. There is nothing distinguishing, innovative, or even mildly inspiring in the design.

Bottom line: save yourself the bucks and your child the heartbreak of this deeply flawed series of trash toys.
