5.0 out of 5 stars My eyes don't burn anymore
I was skeptical at first, but everything else has failed me. Sweatbands always got soaked and squeezed my head just a little too tightly. I finally decided it was time to try one of these. This is, hands down, the best headband I have ever used. The tie version lets me get it to just the right tension without squeezing my brain.

It's kind of gross to admit,...

1.0 out of 5 stars Worthless
Absolutely Worthless if you are a heavy sweater, which is what these things are supposedly designed for...not even as effective as a standard headband. Try the Sweat Gutr instead.

It's kind of gross to admit, but I haven't washed my headband yet. I have only rinsed it with warm water and let it air dry. So far, no smell at all after about a dozen uses. I ordered 3 more so I don't just abuse the one I have.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I have about 4 of these headbands and use them for cycling in the hot Texas summer. They do the job well and the silicone strip helps direct the sweat away from your eyes. They dry much more quickly than terry or cotton.

5.0 out of 5 stars Halo Headband, July 9, 2009
I found out about the Halo headband on KK's cool tool blog. These headbands are great for keeping the sweat out of your eyes. That's what they do. I use mine for jogging and cutting the grass. I used to constantly wipe my eyes with my shirt - now I don't. my eyes would burn from sweat - now they don't. That's what the Halo does. They make a tie-on version and a standard pullover version. I prefer the tie on version after trying both, but that's just me. They are great for tennis, hiking, or any other sweaty endeavor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!, January 18, 2011

As an avid trail runner and road cyclist (I know, weird combo), this has got to be one of my favorite pieces of inexpensive gear. I am a very heavy sweater, and have always had to deal with stinging eyes from sweat running down my face. Since wearing this, I have had no issues whatsoever...and on the days that I have forgotten to wear it, I notice a BIG difference. Plus you can look like a ninja while you're running or cycling - the first couple of times running with it, my buddy told me he was afraid I was going to kick him in the face! The purpose of this band is not to make you stop sweating! The sweat still has to go somewhere, this helps to make sure that place is not in your eyes! It will also not take care of sweat that originates ON YOUR FACE. Seems people like to give bad reviews for things that an item is not designed to do. I sweat enough that I find that the sweat makes its way to the back tie offs and drips off the back, which actually feels pretty good as it has cooled by the time it gets there. I wear it under my helmet for cycling and under my beanie for winter running to help with absorption (I will admit that I wear a beanie with a ponytail hole for the ties of the headband to go through:)) I just leave it tied at the right size so I just throw it on for runs, and rinse it out and air dry it after a workout.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE IT!, November 1, 2010

I can't believe I just discovered this head band. It's great. I live in the south where it can get pretty humid. I began training for a half marathon in July, 2010, one of the hottest summers I can remember. I found these headbands in a running magazine and I was a bit skeptical. I sweat a lot and I can honestly say that this headband does what it says it can do. It pushes the sweat around your eyes and it's really absorbent. I didn't have to wipe sweat out of my eyes at all, not once! I also like that I can make it tight enough to work but lose enough so that it doesn't make my head hurt like the traditional headbands. I have 2 and I plan on getting more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Looks good - works well, November 27, 2011

The Halo Headbands not only look and feel good, they are also most effective, in my opinion, at keeping sweat from getting into your eyes. I have tried others that purport to disperse perspiration but the Halo bands are the first that have performed flawlessly over an extended period of time. I use them for spin classes and no longer have to experience the burning sensation of sweat infused eyes. The bands are large enough to absorb a significant amount of perspiration and the inner lining at the base of the bands efficiently disperses any excess liquid away from the eyes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Keeps my hair outta my eyes, June 24, 2011

I have pretty long hair for a dude and I wear this thing if I am doing most anything active to keep my vision clear. You can tie it once and just keep taking it off and on as you need it and there is no problem because its a bit elastic. Also, I have almost exclusively worn this out in the heat and sweated into it but it has absolutely no odor at all even though I havent washed it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works well but for longer sustained excersion go for Sweat Gutr, February 26, 2011

Great product . Got it because I was having problems seeing with sweat getting into my on some hairy Mountain Bike trails. Works a treat and I highly recommend for shorter periods maybe around the 30 - 45 minute mark after that [depending on excersion weather conditions] you might need to look at sweat gutr as sweat saturation is not a factor with the sweat gutr. However Halos look cooler.

Its a headband, it works keeping sweat out of my eyes and off my sunglasses when I run and bike. I like it because I can adjust the tightness to my liking

Works better than the terrycloth type. Dries pretty fast after its washed out and hung up. Keeps the sweat from your forehead out of your eyes but then you realize there's still plenty of sweat forming below the headband. Give it a try - its pretty inexpensive and might work for you.
