5.0 out of 5 stars It really works, May 18, 2007
This review is from: Halo II Headband - Pullover (Misc.)
Seriously, I never leave home without it. I don't know what it is about my face, but if I'm sweating alot, I am bound to get it in my eyes, and it BURNS, and not only does it burn, but it limits your vision and concentration greatly. And the excuse "Hey I had sweat in my eyes!" doesn't cut it with the teammates after screwing up. I've tried all types of headbands, but they never work past 20 min. They get soaked then start leaking sweat to the eyes. The Halo Headband is able to divert the sweat to the sides of your face and viola, no sweat in eyes. Will this keep your face dry? Absolutely not. Will it keep sweat out of your eyes? Yes and its 99.98% effective.(I just made that stat up, but I've never had a problem since using the headband) When I first tried it out, I thought it was not working cause my face was soaked. But afterwards I realized I never once had to stop and dry my eyes that day, or the entire Atlanta Summer.

Its been a little over the year, and the rubber part has cracked down the middle. I thought that this could cause a problem, but no problem thus far. I'm going to buy new one however. Just to have another color for variety. And just in case my first one does happen to fall apart or get lost.

If you suffer from sweat in the eyes I suggest you try this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Halo Headband Helpful, August 11, 2007
This review is from: Halo II Headband - Pullover (Misc.)
It works... very well. I ride my bike for an hour or more each outing and in the summer, with a helmet on, sweating is a major annoyance. The Halo headband keeps the sweat from running down your face, into your eyes -- mostly by absorbing into the elastic headband and evaporating. Anything else is diverted by the rubber "dam." Takes a bit of getting used to under a helmet but now it's not noticed. I have the pullover version, probably best for under helmets.

3.0 out of 5 stars If you're a heavy sweater, look elsewhere, September 21, 2009

I sweat. Bought this on recommendation from a friend who has one and loves it. Quite comfortable under biking helmet. Mountain biking in western Colorado can be hot and strenuous. It worked great for 45 minutes, then the material got soaked and ran over the plastic band. I wrung it out. In 15 minutes it was back to running in my eyes.

A bandanna lasts me an hour, then I replace it with a new one. I'll keep doing than for mountain biking.

Did an easy 50 mile road "race." I used the Halo... it worked great. But the ride wasn't very strenuous and lots of dry wind across the face to evaporate sweat. I would use it for this purpose again without hesitation.
