It really works,

This review is from: Halo II Headband - Pullover (Misc.)
Seriously, I never leave home without it. I don't know what it is about my face, but if I'm sweating alot, I am bound to get it in my eyes, and it BURNS, and not only does it burn, but it limits your vision and concentration greatly. And the excuse "Hey I had sweat in my eyes!" doesn't cut it with the teammates after screwing up. I've tried all types of headbands, but they never work past 20 min. They get soaked then start leaking sweat to the eyes. The Halo Headband is able to divert the sweat to the sides of your face and viola, no sweat in eyes. Will this keep your face dry? Absolutely not. Will it keep sweat out of your eyes? Yes and its 99.98% effective.(I just made that stat up, but I've never had a problem since using the headband) When I first tried it out, I thought it was not working cause my face was soaked. But afterwards I realized I never once had to stop and dry my eyes that day, or the entire Atlanta Summer.
Its been a little over the year, and the rubber part has cracked down the middle. I thought that this could cause a problem, but no problem thus far. I'm going to buy new one however. Just to have another color for variety. And just in case my first one does happen to fall apart or get lost. If you suffer from sweat in the eyes I suggest you try this product.

Halo Headband Helpful,

It works... very well. I ride my bike for an hour or more each outing and in the summer, with a helmet on, sweating is a major annoyance. The Halo headband keeps the sweat from running down your face, into your eyes -- mostly by absorbing into the elastic headband and evaporating. Anything else is diverted by the rubber "dam." Takes a bit of getting used to under a helmet but now it's not noticed. I have the pullover version, probably best for under helmets.

I sweat. Bought this on recommendation from a friend who has one and loves it. Quite comfortable under biking helmet. Mountain biking in western Colorado can be hot and strenuous. It worked great for 45 minutes, then the material got soaked and ran over the plastic band. I wrung it out. In 15 minutes it was back to running in my eyes.
A bandanna lasts me an hour, then I replace it with a new one. I'll keep doing than for mountain biking. Did an easy 50 mile road "race." I used the Halo... it worked great. But the ride wasn't very strenuous and lots of dry wind across the face to evaporate sweat. I would use it for this purpose again without hesitation.

I sweat a lot!! I've been known to find salt crystals on my bike after a long ride on a hot day. A good sweat band is a must for me. After years of using those generic, thick sweat bands I decided to get something that would fit under my helmet with less pain than I got with those thick bands. I liked the looks of the halo and ordered the stretch version. It works great!! the band actually absorbs sweat and the strip directs any excess down your cheeks and away from the eyes. I've been using it all summer and I am getting a second one soon.
The only downside is the strip can leave it's impression on your forehead after removal... Minor problem.

The buff bandana by Sahalie is a better wicking item, but is twice a expensive. This is still better than the cotton sweat bands. I use sweat bands for play racquetball, cycling, and out door work.

I needed a headband for the gym because well, I sweat. I cannot keep stretchy headbands on because they will slide off the back of my head. So I was a little skeptical about this headband, but I needed to try something. I'm happy to say that it stays in place! It is lightweight, comfortable and really truly does not slide out of place. I have two and am very happy with them.

No Sweat ....almost,

This is my second Halo Headband. I misplaced the first one and ordered another. I cycle ~70 miles per week, 30-35 miles per ride. I highly recommend the Halo as it keeps the sweat from running down over my eyes and onto my sunglasses. It is 90% effective, there are days it is so hot and I get so sweaty that the sweat does run over the barrier strip and on my eye brow dripping to my sunglasses. It works better than a terry cloth headband and if you stop mid ride for a drink, you can wring out the headband and go again. It is easy to clean and holds up wash after wash. You do receive a residual line on your forehead from the barrier strip for a few hours after using the headband, but add that to your cyclist tan lines as another badge of honor.

I wear glasses and work outside in 90+ degree and air so humid you can see it. In other words, I sweat. My first impression of the halo was not that favorable - the piece which diverts the sweat away from your eyes seemed far too small. However, the Halo does work remarkably well as long as you are willing to wring it out fairly often. That seems logical to me and I would have given the Halo 5 stars but for the fact that if you're wearing a hat, it doesn't divert your sweat away from your eyes very effectively. The only solution I have found is to make sure my hat/helmet rides as high as possible on the Halo. If you can keep pressure off of the neoprene that is above the diverter, the product works fairly well. If you need to wear a helmet that rides close to the sweat diverter, you'll most likely be either disappointed or annoyed by how much more often you have to wring the Halo out.

This is the greatest headband ever. I sweat a lot and this does what it advertises and keeps everything away from my eyes. Also, you dont look like a total geek wearing it at the gym like its terrycloth counterparts. Ive used it for everything from competitive dodgeball, softball, mountain biking, paintball, yoga, etc. Just toss it in the wash and its good to go. Ive had mine for over a year and it still looks and performs great.
