I cant very well speak for everyone, but it was a fairly good deal for me. Though he does not come with all the weapons in the picture and the shotgun has a few iregularities (filled in trigger guard) it was an overall good figure. as for the educational value i dont see how an action figure is educational but ill give it a five just for the heck.

5.0 out of 5 stars First and Favorite Halo Figure, July 21, 2008

The Explosive Ordinance Disposal armored Spartan was my first Mcfarlane figure. It is the most detailed figure that I've ever seen, though i haven't had a close up look at any of the other halo figures. This figure comes with a shotgun and a grenade. It does not come with a sniper rifle as in the picture. The figure can be posed very well.

5.0 out of 5 stars EOD Forever, March 23, 2009

EOD being my favorite Halo 3 Varient, this shows high detail to its in-game appearance, (other than the shoulders not being slightly elevated). I only find the fact that making him grip the shotgun to be a pain in the rear.

4.0 out of 5 stars cool armor..., July 16, 2008
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Halo 3 Series 2 Olive Spartan Solider (EOD Armor) (Toy)
'EOD' stands for Explosive Ordinance Disposal. This means that this Spartan has to be a one-man bomb squad, defusing and disposing of bombs and explosives. I imagine he's kind of like a United States Marine Corps Combat Engineer. This kind of dangerous work requires heavier, more bulky armor in case of an explosion, and although it looks ugly from a distance, this Spartan soldier stands out from his more aerodynamic brothers. So the armor is cool, but what about everything else? Mine came with a shotgun, and while this is a cool gun, its trigger is molded to the trigger guard, making it impossible for the figure to hold correctly. This mistake can be overlooked, but it is quite irritating. The soldier's right leg sometimes has a hard time staying attached, as well as the right arm. But I've seen worse, and this figure really isn't half-bad. It's great for posing and can easily stand up on its own with some adjustment of the legs and feet. A great addition for any collector.
