These days i recommend not buying mcfarlane figures online. There Quality Control & Customer service is sub par these days. When you do get a decent figure it is amazing. Most defects i am talking about are serious mold or paint defects anyone can tell. Stuff that would bother even the non collector. I bought 3 of these only 1 is defective with a hand broken off. The store would not take the return cause i opened it. I did not know it was broken until i opened it. Mcfarlane was not helpful..

Well, i really enjoyed the halo games, and for my cousins birthday decided to buy a bunch of halo figures for him, however when we took them out of the package we noticed a lot of the joints were fused. Not just on this figure, but on other variations of them as well. The Red CQB spartans hands were fused and broke off everytime, and i bought him 3 of those. This spartan figures shoulder pads never wanted to stay in, and in just a few days he lost the pieces. He was 11 at the time so i'm not too surprised but it was obvious the figures were mass produced and dont really meet my expectations for the price.

Thanksfully we just used the broken toys as "Battle damaged" spartans XD But i wouldn't recommend this 1 or the older series of toys if you can find them.

Great figure, however, it's of note that this figure has the OLD sculpt of the EVA head. It is much smaller than the current EVA head on the current
McFarlane Halo figures..... It's neat, because it is rare and different, but it's certainly not to scale like the newer EVA heads.....

Still, a nice figure, but don't choose this over a newer head, unless you are looking for a rare collectible. The newer heads are nicer!

I namely bought this because: 1. I love Halo 3, 2. I need the parts to try and make the Spartan I use in Halo 3, 3. McFarlin makes some of the best figures. It is highly detailed and articulated, but be aware the joints in the hands are the weakest point. Either way it is a very nice figure, and (in my case) looks great on display.
