This review is from: Halo & Sprocket Volume 2: Natural Creatures (Halo and Sprocket) (Paperback)
While I absolutely loved Halo And Sprocket: Welcome To Humanity (Halo & Sprocket), I found myself a little let down by this book. For one thing, it is a smaller format, and significantly shorter than the first volume, which is a little disappointing, as the material is so enjoyable that you want more of it. I feel like the book goes into familiar territory with the material, and reduces the more complex philosophical questions of the first book into more of a buddy comedy strip.
Still, it remains a great concept and is executed well in terms of artwork. I just wish that it maintained the depth and content of the first book. Sidenote, does anyone know where Sprocket's invented alphabet comes from? Was that an original creation or is that from somewhere else? |
