For years I've had a difficult time being able to see while backing up at night, because of the tinted windows. I took the chance to buy these, in spite of some less then good reviews. What a difference! It's like having headlights in the back of the car. In daylight they don't look all that different, which may be why some people gave them poor reviews. At night ... they are fantastic. Need more light when your backing up? Get them.

I brought these same lights at a local auto parts store years ago, they are amazing, I move them from car to car, they make a huge difference when you are backing up at night and give off a whole lot more light. I still recommend them to others.

decent lights but like other have stated they dont seem like 50 watts, but seem better than stock lights

Considered buying more expensive additional back up lights to make up for the poor stock lights on the 2007-2011 JK Wrangler. These did the trick and give me a much brighter light when in reverse. I'm really happy with them for the price. *** Don't keep them on for more than a few minutes in reverse, the higher wattage could melt your stock plastic light housing.

I swapped these out with my stock reverse lights, I replaced one side, then stood back to compare. The STOCK bulb is actually brighter, Im highly disappointed with these, im not even putting them in. I would send them back, but I have to pay for shipping, its not worth my time and energy to bother.
But anywho, these suck.

Bought, received, installed with no problems.
I'm now considering buying tail light lenses that have a clear section where the back up bulb is located, with red/amber in the stock locations. The factory lenses have almost white where the back up bulbs are located. I'm not convinced that these bulbs are 2.5x brighter - as the package states.

I wish I could report to you that this product is outstanding - unfortunately it is not. It is just adequate and I am not even sure that it is as bright as a regular backup bulb. To be fair, I have to report that I lost the sight in one eye this past year due to an accident and was somewhat hoping that these bulbs could really illuminate the area as I back up but as I said above they are just average, nothing special, nothing even approaching outstanding. Knowing what I know now, I would not have wasted my money on purchasing them.

Description says that this is the correct backup bulb for a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee, it is not. Had to bew returned.
