Hamlin Violin, January 21, 2007

I purchased this violin for my wife, an adult over 50 and we have no children left at home. The children are married or off to college and do not live close by. I stated this because I didn't want anyone to think that some child was messing with this violin.
The violin has trouble keeping tuned. Also the bow cracked before my wife had a chance to use it. She is taking lessons from an elderly lady who has complained about the violin strings becoming loose too easily.
I would highly recommend looking for another product.
