This toaster is a great value. The slots hold the largest bagesl and bread. It works great and looks good. The only drawback is that it takes up a huge amount of counter space.

We have one in our vacation home and I'm going to buy one for our primary residence as soon as we get back. It DOES take up a lot of counter space, but its even toasting and easy controls are well worth it. Plus it's attractively priced and is a good value for our busy (and hungry!) family.

It is adequate - did not burn my toast or bagels. I did notice that the element wires are wound unevenly so when it is on, some lines are red hot whilst others are not - this may cause uneven toasting but I have never paid attention.

The bagel feature - turning off one side of toasting, is fine, except you cannot turn it back on till the current toasting is finished.

I have, what I would consider, an average sized kitchen, and the rather large size of the toaster never bothers me. I have received several compliments on my "really cool toaster" (which I have to admit, I never expected anyone to go crazy over a toaster)...even my mom really likes it. But we all know that the purpose of a toaster isn't to just look good....so as far as performance goes, I'd have to say that I think this one is nearly as good as they come. Settings are easy to read (and pretty cool looking compared to others) and bread is always evenly toasted. My roommates do lots of bagels and poptarts....and I have yet to hear a complaint...so I guess that says enough!

I finally got rid of the old toaster oven. I cannot count the number of times I ended up with burnt toast because you had to watch the thing like a hawk. With 4 kids, that isn't going to happen in my house. So, I bought this 4 slice toaster to replace it. It makes a great piece of toast. There are two sets of controls which is nice. My kids like their bread barely warm, and I like mine nicely brown. We keep a set of controls on each heat setting, and it consistantly toasts to just the right temp for both of us. I love bagels, and they fit in this toaster well. It has a bagel setting that toasts the cut side and just warms the other side. Works OK. I find that it doesn't heat mine as well as I like, so I usually have to run it through on regular toast. But then, again, I eat the heavy whole wheat bagels. It may work well on the white ones. All in all, I love the toaster. The only drawback is that it is rather huge. I don't really mind because I have a huge kitchen, and it sits on one of my counters, but if you had to put it in a cabinet after every use, it would be pretty awkward.

I bought this toaster after having the same one in our office kitchen. It works great and is nice looking. The one thing I didn't account for was the size of the toaster on our work counter which is 20 feet long. When I put the toaster in my home kitchen which is 4 feet, the toaster seems to dominate the counter top and dwarf the microwave. Other than that is a decent toaster for the price.

Bagels cook perfectly because there are fewer electric elements on the "rounded-side" of the bagel (after you push in the bagel feature).I like the crumb-empty feature also, because they (crumbs) wash off the easy removed tray(s). Toast are more evenly cooked and better in a toaster, altho we use it for regular bread and english muffins also - when you get old - it just doesn't matter that much, as long as the butter melts! You may have to push it down again, after you reverse the sides, if your finnicky.
Drinking wine while reviewing a toaster just isn't cool, but it's afternoon for me, so the wine is still good.
