5.0 out of 5 stars Clever design, well-made
I just got the 3-in-1 a few days ago and have only used it once, but I'm so impressed! I almost got a single-crock six-quart slow cooker before I discovered this one, and I'm so pleased that I purchased this one instead.

2.0 out of 5 stars Crock Pot Review
As someone who cooks at least weekly in a crock pot I was fascinated by the thought of having 3 different size crocks. I often use an old 6 quart as well as a 4 quart. I have owned this new set for a few months and am very disappointed in its performance. I have never seen a slow cooker that burns food on Low. This crock pot set will burn foods left cooking on low all...

I just got the 3-in-1 a few days ago and have only used it once, but I'm so impressed! I almost got a single-crock six-quart slow cooker before I discovered this one, and I'm so pleased that I purchased this one instead.

Like others, I really appreciate the three crocks, the clever way they nest and that one lid fits all. The two- and four-quart crocks are easier to handle than the six, especially in the sink, so I expect to get a lot more use out of this than if I had gone with a single-crock six. Also, the two smaller crocks fit in my microwave, and the six would not -- very handy for heating the leftovers. I'm glad to have the six-quart crock as well as the other two, though.

The unit seems more sturdily constructed than some I saw in stores. I personally prefer the simple knob over the programmable touchpads. As at least one other reviewer mentioned, the high and low settings really do seem to work.

I wish you could use the lid in the microwave, but you can't, probably because it has a metal rim. A 10-1/4" dinner plate served as a nicely fitting substitute, but it was more difficult to remove from the steaming crock than it would have been using the crock's lid with its knob. This one complaint is a minor one and not important enough to downgrade to four stars in light of the unit's great assets.

5.0 out of 5 stars 3 bowls, 5 stars!, January 6, 2008
This review is from: Hamilton Beach 33135 3-in-1 Slow Cooker with 2-, 4-, and 6-Quart Crocks, Stainless Steel (Kitchen)
My mom asked me what I wanted for Christmas, and I told her I wanted a crock pot. This is the one she gave me, and I am absolutely thrilled with it! The multiple bowl sizes are such a great concept. The unit heats up quickly, maintains a steady heat, looks nice, and cleans up easily. It even comes with some really yummy recipes. I've owned other crock pots in the past, and this is by far the best. I've been telling my friends about it and they all want one!

4.0 out of 5 stars a good idea, December 12, 2007

Let's face it, one crockpot is the same as another for the most part. The three separate crocks is definitely the best way to have the convenienceof multiple sizes of slow cookers taking up much less space than individual appliances. I purchased the black and steel version, and it looks pretty sleek and classy. It has the basic settings (off, low, high and warm). The main negative is that this thing is HEAVY. The crocks are stoneware and the entire unit weighs a ton. That's my only complaint.

This is a great concept, and is a very well made product. My wife and I absolutely love it. She had so many crocks, it was hard to find space for them in the cabinets! After getting this one, we were able to retire a couple of older, uglier crock pots. Which brings me to the other plus... It is very modern-looking, yet it doesn't sacrifice practicality/usability for style. The handles stick out, away from the base, which is a great improvement over the original design.

Perfect for soups, stews, chili, corned beef and cabbage, home-made cereal, etc.

If you're considering it, get it!

Includes:

1 stainless steel base
3 stackable crocks
1 vented glass lid

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing -- the best I've ever used!, April 30, 2008
I have always had Rival slow cookers in the past. The Rival I bought last years burns everything! I read reviews for this Hamilton Beach model, and people said it doesn't burn. It's true! Nothing burns, and everything cooks beautifully. I love the different sizes -- perfect for any recipe. This slow cooker is awesome.

2.0 out of 5 stars Crock Pot Review, August 2, 2010
This review is from: Hamilton Beach 33135 3-in-1 Slow Cooker with 2-, 4-, and 6-Quart Crocks, Stainless Steel (Kitchen)
This crock pot set will burn foods left cooking on low all day. It is also very hard to get the crocks clean whether by hand or in the dishwasher. I am very glad I didn't get rid of my old slow cookers as I have gone back to using them. They heat more evenly, do not burn or overcook food and are much easier to get clean. I wish I never purchased this set as I have packed it away and have no use for it.

I bought this for my father for Christmas and we love it. He made a turkey stew in the 6 quart and right now I'm making a Salsa Chicken in the 4 quart. Easy to use, base is very light, and it stores away conveniently. It makes it easy to cook while working full-time. Just turn the dial, press a button, and you're good to go.

I've been looking for a good slow cooker for months and just couldn't make up my mind between 2-4-6 quart. I have 4 kids, but like to make smaller slow cooker things for different things a lot. It is so nice to have the option. I like that the pots stack inside eachother for better storage. The black and stainless look great. I saw the ivory one at Target and it looked aweful, very 70's. My last slow cooker (rival) burn everything so on LOW so I finally got rid of it last year and this one has been great.

The Hamilton Beach slow cooker is great. I love having three sizes of cooking insert and high/low cooking settings that actually work. (Some slow cookers cook on high no matter what the dial says). I've used it several times now since getting it just before the holidays and it is quickly becoming my cooking method of choice.

After spending $100+ for a Cuisinart slow cooker that boiled/burned everything, I bought this cooker a couple of weeks ago. I love it! It's versatile in that I can choose the size I need for the recipe, and the temperature range really works well. I'm very happy with this model, and considering the price, it's an excellent value.
