Purchased this blender at Kohl's last week, it was priced higher than the price that's listed here....however I had Kohl's cash that I needed to use. I've been making smoothies every morning since. It seems to be powerful enough to crush the ice or frozen fruit, as I've done both. It's not quiet, but I'm not in the market to buy quiet. Smoothies have been a success and that's the main purpose for the purchase. Choose this model over others because it was 550 watts, my concern was less wattage wouldn't be strong enough.

Just purchased this item at Macy's. The price was about 29.00. Used it to make some Margaritas. The Swirling action worked great. No chunks of ice left. Was tempted to spend a lot more, which I usually do on appliances, but the blender only gets limited use. Will see how it works out in the future, but right now the price is right and the performance is fine.

This is the blender Tim Allen would make. It has more power. I think I could probably grind up a lump of wood and it would make a good fiber filled drink.

It is Smoothie time with all the fresh fruits coming into the marketplace. Decided to read reviews of Amazon.com purchasers of the less expensive blenders and was not impressed until this bad boy with 550 Watts of Ice Cube Breaking Power was reviewed. This is a heavy duty product that looks good on the counter top but can it make the perfect smoothie?
No ice chunks here. The Wave Action blending process is fun to watch and insures that everything in your smoothie is thouroughly blended. Add the berries, other fruit (juice, yoghurt, milk if you want), ice cubes and hit the pulse button a few times and you have a perfect smoothie. It even has patented stainless steel blades. This is a good long term investment in your happiness and health!

this thing KILLS ice. my last blender would just bounce ice cubes around, but this thing makes short work of anything frozen. strawberry banana smoothie made with rock-solid frozen strawberries and ice: easy as pie. i've never had a great blender until now. very happy!

This blender is excellent for the price. Plenty of power. Keep that lid on, otherwise it will spill over even on low. My opinion, great blender.

I love Amazon and religiously check reviews before I buy anything anywhere. So I was sad to see every blender on here having horrible reviews. Ok, maybe I'll be eccentric and check out the $400 blenders... What? Still horrible reviews?!? There is no hope!
Then I found this beauty. Moderately priced and excellent reviews? Perfect. I've had this sucker for about a month now and I love it. I use it for smoothies every other day and it does the job perfectly with no stirring. It's super easy to clean. The stupid rubber O-ring that every other blender has is actually attached to the base so you don't have to worry about losing or ruining that. And I love that the jar slides effortlessly into the base with no stupid turning to lock like every other blender. And last night for 4th of July weekend I threw a party and started making margaritas. This was the true test. Lets keep an entire party liquidated. And it did an amazing job. Perfectly blended margaritas. Here's the recipe that worked out deliciously: 4 shots of tequila 4 shots of triple sec Fill the jar like 3/4 with frozen strawberries. Put the blender on Icy Drink mode. It effortlessly, with no stirring, turned that into delicious margaritas. Om nom nom. The only con is that it does produce a fair amount of ozone (that electrical smell, that's not really dangerous, and goes away quickly). But I think that's fairly common amongst all blenders.

I bought this blender to use just for my morning smoothies a few times per week...worked wonderfully for 6 months, until i went to use it one day and it made a nasty clinking noise (coming from inside). very disappointing.

Like so many others, I found this blender to work just fine, but to emit an awful, burning plastic smell while operating.
